The Director of the Speech and Language Clinic supervises our speech, language, learning clinic including all practice, finance, staff, training, and research issues. This critical role: Develops and sustains excellence in clinical practice, building a clinic that achieves the highest standards of care and provides a model of all aspects of good clinical practice; Manages clinic finances, meets clinic budget goals and program performance metrics; Recruits, manages, reviews, and develops skilled clinical staff; Provides supervision of clinicians and graduate student interns, and assures that graduate student interns can meet ASHA standards for certification; Provides data for accreditation, institutional research and other reporting obligations asneeded; Develops new lines of patient care and market clinic services; Develops and implements a bench-to-bedside model of incorporating translational research into clinical practice in collaboration with research labs in CSD and other departments; Keeps current with industry best-practices, provides intellectual leadership in implementing programs, provides leadership in continuing care and practices management improvements; Assures that the clinic meets regulatory and compliance requirements, industry professional standards, and complies with NU policy; Works with the Associate Chair and Associate Dean to meet clinic goals and develop strategic plans; Performs related duties as required or assigned.

2 Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired; CCC-SLP certification; Current Illinois state Speech Pathologist license or the ability to be licensed in Illinois; Clinical experience with pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations; Five years of clinic management experience; Supervisory experience.
