3 INTRODUCTION Year in review was a successful year for Dutch film, and film makers with an industry bustling with activity. MARKET SHARES IN ADMISSIONS FOR DOMESTIC PRODUCTIONS 18.8% market share for Dutch films in 22.3% THE NETHERLANDS 1.5% OTHERS 13.7% EUROPE 15.8% THE NETHERLANDS 20.6% THE 1.2% OTHERS NETHERLANDS 1.7% OTHERS 19.9% EUROPE 9.4% EUROPE 20.9% THE NETHERLANDS 5.9% OTHERS 8.6% EUROPE 18.8% THE NETHERLANDS 3.2% OTHERS 10.2% EUROPE The total production activity grew to M an increase of over 42 % in two years. For the first time in five years the total revenues increased again, fueled by a strong box office and VOD growth. In the Netherlands Film Production Incentive granted 80 film projects 17.3 million in cash rebates. The Netherlands is increasingly being chosen as a co-production partner, a location for shoots and a place to post produce films. In the market share for domestic films in the Netherlands dropped slightly to 18.8%. US and European product increased to respectively 67.8% and 10.2%. Elsewhere in Europe US or European product also increased. Only the UK showed strong growth in domestic market share. In Denmark and Germany domestic market shares increased slightly. 6 1.2 PRODUCTION ACTIVITY DUTCH FEATURE FILMS In 63 feature films were shot, representing a total production activity of million. 29 of these were shot wholly or partly in the Netherlands while 34 were shot mainly abroad. Production support from the Netherlands Film Fund increased from 19.5 million in 2014 to 29.7 million in.
