AUPHA s Mission is to Foster excellence and drive innovation in health management and policy education, and promote the value of university-based management education for leadership roles in the health sector. 2

AUPHA will be the intellectual home for directors and faculty of programs in health management and policy education. 3. Current Areas of Strategic Focus Expanding AUPHA s membership and influence outside of North America Creating opportunities for our programs and the Association to engage with the field of practice Providing guidance to educators and the field as to the depth and breadth of the field of healthcare management education. 4

5 AUPHA Membership Categories International Program Membership Any academic program outside of the US and Canada that prepares students for careers in healthcare management is eligible to be an International Program Member of AUPHA. Programs seeking greater stature and a higher level of benefits may also wish to consider Associate Membership in the Association All SHAPE members are currently registered in the AUPHA database as International Program Members through July 1, 2013 AUPHA Membership Categories Associate Program Membership Programs that are not pursuing CAHME Accreditation or AUPHA Certification (Total 8 Grad & 5 undergrad) Associate Candidate Program Membership Programs that are pursuing CAHME Accreditation or AUPHA Certification (Total 31 Grad & 30 Undergrad) Full Program Membership CAHME-Accredited or AUPHA-Certified QUESTION: Would we consider ACHSM Accreditation in lieu of CAHME accreditation? 5
