6 10 DRAEGER SAFETY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT DETECTION DETECTION DRAEGER SAFETY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT 11 Alcohol and Drug Detection The problem is international: for police across the world, drugs and alcohol are the cause of countless hazardous situations in which you rely on keeping a level head and having fast and accurate results. The Dräger Alcotest has helped changed the face of roadside breath alcohol testing; whilst at the same time helping to raise safety standards on our roads. The Dräger DrugTest 5000 enables detection of up to six substances using oral fluid samples and displays accurate results in a matter of minutes. Dräger Alcotest 80 type approved kit A simple way of examining the degree of intoxication is by performing a breath alcohol test. Sophisticated electronic breath testers are already introduced for evidential breath alcohol analysis in several countries. Other countries still use blood or urine analysis for evidential purposes. In both cases, the equipment necessary for the legal test can hardly be taken in the field. Thus, simple and reliable screening testers should be used on the road, which give the traffic officer an indication, whether the legal limit of alcohol in blood is exceeded or not. Dräger Alcotest 6810 Alcotest 6810 provides a quick and accurate breath alcohol analysis for professional users. This instrument has UK Home Office Type Approval and is listed on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Conforming Products List (NHTSA CPL) as an Evidential Breath Tester for Department of Transportation applications. Dräger Alcotest 6510 The Dräger Alcotest 6510 offers professional users precise and quick breath alcohol analysis in a user friendly and compact form. Thanks to its wide range of possible configurations, the handheld instrument can be easily adapted to meet different international regulations and guidelines. Dräger Drugtest 5000 The Dräger DrugTest 5000 system comprising two main components: the DrugTest 5000 Test Kits and the DrugTest 5000 Analyser. The system is a fast, accurate means of testing oral fluid samples for drugs of abuse, such as amphetamines, designer amphetamines, opiates, cocaine and metabolites, benzodiazepine, cannabinoides or methadone. Dra ger Alcotest 9510 (Mobile Evidential) The Dra ger Alcotest 9510 features a new ergonomic design, while furthering the Draeger tradition of high dependability products. The sensor technology delivers professional users a precise measurement result of the breath alcohol concentration and the big touch screen offers intuitive operation and a guided data input with complete text messages. Because the Dra ger Alcotest 9510 offers a wide range of communication options, it is easy to connect it with a central computer or other devices. Dra ger Surface Screening Kit 5000 The Dräger SSK 5000 kit is used for sampling for drugs on or from surfaces. When used in combination with the Dräger DrugTest 5000 Analyzer, the sample is transferred to a test cassette and screened for possible drug contamination. For further testing, the collected sample can be stored and transported. Dra ger Mobile Printer Compact mobile printer for printing of records in situ. Weighing just 400 grams, and with its compact dimensions of 110 x 60 x 205 mm, the Dräger Mobile Printer could hardly be more portable. It even features magnets for attachment to metallic surfaces like vehicles or containers. Even at low temperatures this sturdy device will not let you down. The low costs of consumables, the long lifetime of the thermal head and the easy paper replacement make the Dra ger Mobile Printer particularly user-friendly. Oralstat Saliva Test Offering convenience and flexibility the Oralstat saliva drug screener can detect up to ten different drugs, giving results in approximately 13 minutes. With its built-in procedural control and specimen collection in just a few minutes, the unit gives high performance, added flexibility alongside features that ensure that the specimen cannot be diluted or tampered with. Guaranteeing that the correct specimen volume is collected. Dra ger DrugCheck 1200 UTK (Urine test kits) The reliable method to detect drug abuse cost-effectively: With the preliminary test system you can safely detect substances in urine within a few minutes. The test kit has also been tested for cross-reactivity to over 600 compounds. For chemically similar substances (e.g. codeine and heroin), the analysis list provides you with a solid basis for a decision. Pychemedics Hair Testing Hair analysis to detect drugs of abuse have been used by the UK and Canadian courts, and hair testing for alcohol markers is now recognised in both the UK and US judicial systems. There are guidelines for hair testing that have been published by the Society of Hair Testing that specify the markers to be tested for and the cut-off concentrations that need to be tested. Drugs of abuse that can be detected include cannabis, cocaine, amphetamines and drugs new to the UK such as Mephedrone.
