Escape Device Range For a Safe Escape
You have the choice... Emergency escape from hazardous areas and confin ed spaces: the con sidera tion of the options for escape (self-rescue) must be an integral part of risk assessment for working in potentially hazardous areas. MSA offers a full range of equipment for escape purposes. The most economical solution is a filtering device. It is perfect as long as you know the type, properties and composition of the hazardous agent in the ambient air. If you can t be sure, it might not work in all situations (i.e. low oxygen concentration, high toxic concentrations etc.). A higher level of pro tection is offered by indepen dent air supply systems (based on chemical oxygen regeneration). All these units are designed to be small and neatly packed so that they can be carried easily, placed near or hung up close to the workplace. They can be stored unopened for a long period of time, yet be ready for use immediately. MSA offers a perfect range of solutions for the two essential questions: What level of protection is required? For what duration? Using the latest filtering media TabTec techno - logy, the MSA miniscape is a single use escape device with 5 minutes of service time. It protects against hazardous gases of the types A, B, E and K. miniscape is equipped with a mouthpiece and nose clip. Small and handy, the miniscape fits into the pocket of a lab overall or any working clothes. It can also be carried on the belt, with the very practical integrated belt clip. In case of emergency, it can be donned very quickly and is operatio nal immediately. In case of sudden and unexpected outbreaks of toxic gases or vapors at the workplace, personnel can leave the danger area quickly and safely with the miniscape. The hygienic and convenient plastic casing allows frequent distribution to different persons, for example, mechanics, visitors or shift workers. n Small design, high perform ance n Quick and easy donning n Universal fit (mouthpiece) n Easy carrying in the pocket or on the belt n Safe respiratory protection, also for persons wearing glasses and/ or a beard 5 minutes DIN miniscape Please ask us for the detailed leaflet
The S-CAP provides protection for persons endangered by smoke and gases gene rat ed by fires. Investigations confirm time and time again that most victims during the dramatic circumstances due to a fire do not get injured by heat or flames but from smoke and gases. Carbon monoxide is particularly dangerous, which is generated by most fires. Very easy to use, the device also provides protection for the eyes and the face. A light cotton neck seal improves the per formance without affecting the ease of donning. n Simple and quick handling n Safe protection of breathing, eyes and head n Also suitable for persons wearing spectacles n Large field of vision n High performance filter n Low breathing resistance n Approved according to the latest revisions of the standard 15 minutes EN 403: S-CAP in cardboard box S-CAP in luminescent wall box S-CAP in fireman s pack (pack of 3) S-CAP in pouch S-CAP in pouch w/o carrying strap S-CAP in container Elite (pack of 2) Please ask us for the detailed leaflet Container Elite Wall Box Fireman s Pack Pouch MSR 1 and MSR 2 The MSR (type 1 and 2) half mask filtering device provides protection against hazardous gases of the types A, B, E and K. The MSR2 also provides protection against particles (P2). Both devices are packaged in a robust carrying container with a belt clip. The MSR 1 and 2 are fast to open, donned in seconds and provide an excellent seal with the half mask and the easily adjustable harness. An exhalation valve reduces breathing resistance for best comfort. n Small design n Fast and easy donning n Excellent filter performance n Exhalation valve n Replaceable Filter cartridges n Carrying on belt 15 minutes DIN D MSR 1 D MSR 2 3
Smoke Hood The Smoke Hood is an emergency escape respirator, designed to the exact ing requirements of the North sea oil production industry, for self rescue from fire incidents, where smoke, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases may be present. The hood provides protection against radiant heat, while the neck seal provides additional protection against smoke rising inside the hood. A self-adjusting, one-size-fits-all, head harness makes for quick and easy donning. n Self-adjusting head harness n Elastic neck seal n Simple and quick handling n Safe protection of breathing, eyes and head n Large field of vision n High performance filter n Low breathing resistance 15 minutes EN 403 B Smoke Hood B Smoke Hood Training, without filter B Filter holder B Filter pads (box of 100) W65-2 and W95 The MSA Filter Self-Rescuers W 65-2 and W 95 for one-time escape use provide protection against toxic carbon monoxide (CO) and other gases emitted in underground mine fires or explosions. The W 65-2 is a standard Filter Self-Rescuer. The W 95 is designed for extended escape routes. Both devices are available in shoulder carrying mode or with integral belt loop and as trainer version. n Sturdy construction n Small size and low weight n Belt or shoulder carrying mode n Equipped with Latex-free mouth piece and nose clip n Adjustable head harness allows for a tight fit n Extended service life for W 95 W minutes W minutes EN 404 (FSR 4BR) D W W 65-2 BL (with belt loop) D W 65-TR (training device) D W W 95 BL (with belt loop) W 95-TR (training device) Please ask us for the detailed leaflet Belt loop Shoulder carrying mode 4
Oxygen Self-Rescuers The MSA oxygen self-rescuers are light and robust independent air supply respiratory protective devices, packed in stainless steel containers, which can be used at any place where the ambient atmosphere may be low in oxygen or contain toxic contaminants. The apparatuses are designed to be carried on a belt or shoulder strap and donned in seconds. The breathing air regeneration based on KO 2 technique will supply oxygen to the wearer on his escape or while waiting for rescue, always self adjusting to the necessary oxygen demand of the user. n Fast donning procedure n Immediately ready for use n Independent air supply n Robust and sturdy container design n Perfect fit with mouthpiece and nose clip n Breathing controlled air supply n at full rest (waiting for rescue) is at least three times the rated duration D SSR 30/ SavOxCap SavOx D SSR 90 K60 See also detailed leaflet for: SSR 30/100 = SavOxCap 60 = SavOx = SSR 90 = SSR 30/100 SavOxCap 60 SavOx SSR 90 K60 Rated 20 minutes 60 minutes 30 minutes 60 minutes EN DIN EN EN EN
