Advertising to target a wide range of candidates throughout our LEADMidco: Leadership Development Programs/Training In-House training/educational videos for managers and HR An annual membership is maintained on several websites that all Midcontinent jobs. Posted positions are ed daily through our Community and Diversity Outreach program connecting our jobs with active and passive job seekers from community partners. The community and diversity outreach partners receive jobs that match criteria they specifically requested and share the positions with the appropriate members of their organizations. Community partners include: veterans, women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, onestop centers, state workforce agencies, historically black Ensuring we are able to widely disseminate all our jobs to colleges & universities, and the state job banks a variety of audiences online to include (ESDSs). Open jobs are automatically scraped and Professional/Technical, Diversity Organizations, cross-posted to the list of sites provided to provide Minorities, People with Disabilities, State Workforce exposure to diverse local applicants at a targeted Agencies, Universities and Colleges, Veterans, Women, geographic level. etc. We advertise available positions with the state Job Service (through the Department of Labor). Midcontinent currently provides leadership development training for all managers. Examples include Conducting performance reviews, Coaching and developing employees, Completing the Talent Assessment process. The HR Compliance Counsel of Midcontinent has created a variety of short training videos for HR and managers such as: HR Compliance for Supervisors; Harassment and Hostile Work Environment; Understanding ADA Compliance; Recruiter Compliance Ensuring we are able to widely disseminate all our jobs to a variety of audiences online. Furthering education and training of people managers in Staffing team maintains membership in: VetConnect (LVER/DVOPS) Managers, Supervisors & HR Managers and Supervisor; HR Professionals 5 Ongoing LeadMidco: New Manager Program The New Manager Program includes six one-hour selfdirected online courses with intermittent follow-up learning review and Q&A facilitated by HR. The total time commitment for each new manager is about 8-10 hours over a period of six months. The program includes the following sessions: First Time Manager: Understanding a Manager's Role (Online course, self-study) First Time Manager: Challenges (Online course, selfstudy) First Time Manager: Meeting Expectations (Online course, self-study) Review of Learning, Action Planning, Q&A (Inperson or telepresence, facilitated by HR) Management Essentials: Directing Others (Online course, self-study) Management Essentials: Developing Your Direct Reports (Online course, self-study) Management Essentials: Confronting Difficult Employee Behavior (Online course, self-study) Review of Learning, Action Planning, Q&A (Inperson or telepresence, facilitated by HR) Improving the skill and competence of new managers.
