3 1 Introduction Please note that this guide is for E-Notebook2014 Release 5 only. Please keep in mind that minimum hardware specifications have considerable capacity margin, and unless the system is serving more than 200 users, the infrastructure at minimum specification should be sufficient. Please note that we do support the versions that software was qualified on (Qualified column). 6 Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) includes OLEDB Provider and Oracle Data Provider for.net ODAC (32-bit) Only required on 32-bit Oracle client Make sure that the file Oracle.DataAccess.dll is present in the assembly folder under C:\Windows. If the file does not exist in the assembly folder, then separate ODAC installation is required. NOTE: For Windows Server 2008 R2, ODAC separate installation is not required for Oracle Client bit. For Windows Server 2012, a separate ODAC installation is required. NOTE: If an ODAC component comes along with the full Oracle client installers, then no separate installation is required. All Server operating systems which supports E-Notebook Installing E-Notebook onto Middle Tier Running IIS 7.x If E-Notebook server is going to be installed onto a middle tier system running IIS 7.x please make sure that the IIS installation on the middle tier server has been configured with the both the IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility and IIS 6 WMI Compatibility features installed. Please refer to the steps below for more information on how set up IIS and how to check to ensure this feature is installed: Install the IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility Components in Windows Server 2008 R2 or in Windows Server by using the Server Manager tool: 1. Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Server Manager. 2. In the navigation pane, expand Roles, right-click Web Server (IIS), and then click Add Role Services. 3. In the Select Role Services pane, scroll down to IIS 6 Management Compatibility. 4. Click to select the IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility and IIS 6 Management Console check boxes. 5. In the Select Role Services pane, click Next, and then click Install at the Confirm Installations Selections pane. 6. Click Close to exit the Add Role Services wizard. In order to be able to import successfully view an image with.svg extension, you have to install the "Scalable Vector Graphics Viewer" executable (SVGView.exe) that you can download from: ( ChemDraw ActiveX Enterprise Constant 14 RICHTX32.OCX This is a module for the Microsoft Rich Text OLE control and provides advanced editing capability to the Text Box object. This control is required for the ELN sections that use HTMLTableControl. RichTx32.OCX control can be downloaded from the Microsoft site: < b6/richtx32.cab> After running the installer, the control should be available in the system32 folder and is registered.
