Managing Director Responsible for the implementation and supervision of all fire engineering projects undertaken by the company, specializing in rail and historic building projects. The most recent projects (2011) include; a series of fire risk assessments and the supervision of passive and active fire protection works for the National Trust s Wessex Region, acting as Principal Fire Engineer for the new Crossrail sub-surface station at Paddington (and other Crossrail facilities), including elements requiring interface with MacMillan House, a Grade 1 listed building, and acting a Principal Fire Engineer for the Cable Car for London Project to 2007 Pell Frischmann Divisional Director (Fire Engineering) Responsible for the implementation and management of all fire engineering consultancy projects; including safety engineering (to BS 7974), fire systems engineering, fire risk assessment, project management of fire systems installation works, fire systems assurance and auditing, standards writing, and advice on fire safety legislation and fire safety management systems. Dublin Metro North Development of the fire safety engineering strategy and standards required for the design and build of Dublin s first underground metro system, and liaison with the fire authority and railway safety commission. East London Line Underground Rail System Carry out third party assurance reviews, on behalf of Transport for London, on the fire safety strategy developed (by Mott Macdonald) for the project. Organise and chair a qualitative design review (QDR) following the methodology of BS 7974, with the participation of the fire authority and London Underground, for the purpose of gaining regulatory approvals for the project. Palace of Westminster Member of the Fire Safety engineering Qualitative Design Review Panel responsible for the development of the fire safety engineering strategy for Palace fire safety engineering works, using BS 7974 methodology, to provide outline scheme design and specification of fire engineering systems. Stratford Regional Station Develop an engineered fire safety strategy for the upgrading of Stratford Regional Station, in order to prepare it for both the 2012 Olympics and the implementation of the Crossrail Project. Design the supporting fire detection and suppression systems for the project and liase with the development designers of the new Northern Ticket Hall to ensure that the fire strategy of all areas of the station is comprehensive and co-ordinated. Direct all liaison with the fire authority to ensure the regulatory approval of the newly designed station. Fire Engineering Standards Review Review and rewrite all of the Tube Lines fire engineering standards and reference manuals, in order change the existing prescriptive standards to a performance basis and ensure their compatibility with all London Underground high level fire engineering standards. Central Market & Al Zeina Projects (Abu Dhabi) Develop an engineered fire safety strategy for two major developments incorporating commercial, retail, leisure and residential uses. Design all fire safety systems for the buildings pursuant to implementation of the fire strategy. The institute is a major museum, gallery, and university facility, housed in one of London s premier grade 1 listed buildings. Historic Scotland/Edinburgh Castle Fire risk assessment, fire strategy development, and specification of remedial measures for Historic Scotland s finest scheduled ancient monument. Negotiating with the Scottish Office Fire Inspectorate regarding fire safety provisions. The National Gallery Design, specification and quality assurance verification of fire safety works throughout the Gallery, over a period of five years. Strategic fire safety and building control advice and negotiating with the District Surveyor s Office. The Gallery, houses the Nations premier art collection and is itself a grade 1 listed building.
