I now work for a company that provides all types of fire systems, equipment, consultancy and training both nationally and locally. Since 2008 I have completed numerous fire risk assessments in all areas of the built environment, for small workplaces, residential care homes, large industrial factories and sites, housing associations, licensed premises, private residential flats, hotels etc.

I have worked in the extinguisher, alarm and training sectors before moving into fire risk assessment. I am NEBOSH trained and hold the NGC1 and fire certificate. I am also a technician member of IOSH and AIIRSM. I have carried out fire risk assessments for local authorities, housing associations, universities and a range of private business clients across the country. I also carry out fire safety training courses at all levels. I am currently managing the compliance department for one of the largest independent fire safety companies in the U.K. I have carried out fire risk assessments in all the countries of the UK.

After completing educational qualifications I began to carry out fire risk assessments. I have completed well over 1000 Fire Risk Assessments for many different workplaces. I have provided fire safety expertise during both the construction of Terminal 5 at Heathrow and latterly at the Olympic Park where I undertook fire risk assessments and developed fire plans for the Olympic venues. During these projects I become an expert in construction fire safety. As a fire safety consultant, I have carried out fire risk assessments on a wide range of commercial properties, social housing projects and hostels.

I have completed numerous FRAs of buildings i.e. social housing, factories, hotels, nursing homes, offices, warehouses, and licenced premises. Following the FRA, a document is provided that details the level of fire safety provision necessary in the premises to enable compliance with the RRO (Fire Safety Order), and we can even assist the client to achieve the necessary level of compliance by sourcing contractors if required. I work throughout the South-eastern counties, London and other parts of the UK.

Prior to university he obtained practical fire-fighting work experience with public, private, and MoD brigades, and post University he has worked on various engineering, consultancy and risk assessment projects/portfolios.
