6 Outbreak Summaries Development Proposed in 1999 with Public Health Alerts Consultations with P/T and local partners F/P/T Working Group to: Formulate goals and objectives Set definitions, data standards, functional requirements and business rules

7 Objectives Provide a secure, web based communication platform for summarizing outbreak information in a systematic and standardized manner Allow local and F/P/T public health professionals to easily collect, query, and generate reports on the results of outbreak investigations Provide a reporting tool that will inform: Future outbreak investigations Policy development Prevention and control strategies
