2 The POS Bridge is a SAP Add-on software designed to simplify the integration of SAP with a POS software. It provides a high quality interface with advanced tools by delivering operational intelligence out-of-the-box. The built-in processing engine provides transparency throughout the system environment using an end-to-end monitor. In addition to the standard templates, we offer the possibility to add customer specific processes with minimum effort. Several questionnaires have been designed for all processes, describing the entire process flow and providing all relevant details. This provides you with all information needed to make process dependent decisions. Process Flow Questionnaire
3 The POS Bridge is professional tool environment s to simplify the design and monitoring of SAP and POS processes. Each tool supports customer specific requirements and vendor specific functionality. Process Designer Each part of a process is designed and configured within the Process Designer including parameters and engine settings. Monitor Message monitor for observing inbound and outbound messages within the engine, together with the overall performance and engine status. Cockpit Browser based navigation with multiple user interface. Fully integrated with the Dynamic Configurator. Dynamic Configurator Browser based customizing environment. Multiple tools and configuration capabilities without development. Documentation A complete documentation of each process and all steps in the POS engine. 4 The Process Engine The process engine is the main component of the POS Bridge. It is responsible for processing messages from the inbound, outbound an process queues. The engine offers two scheduling options: as periodically executable job or as silent background process for optimal performance. The POS Bridge platform ideally embodies the recommended approach to Omni-channel retailing. While common legacy systems maintain separate user interfaces, data and business logic for each software product, the POS Bridge architecture enables retailers to break away from the tradition of integrating disparate information and functionality silos, and migrate to a unified, single engine platform. This ensures high flexibility, fast time-tomarket and outstanding centralized management, monitoring and control capabilities. The platform features the following key architecture layers: Unified Data Layer: provides the foundation necessary to maintain and share common information resources used by all POS Bridge processes, including product master, customer, sales transaction and inventory data by using standard SAP functionality. Unified Business Logic Layer: contains the unified retail/sap objects, services and business process rules and logic required to maintain all store operations. Unified POS Layer: contains multiple POS vendor formatting rules and conversion routines.
5 BPO Omni-channel Format Today, the focus in retail business lies on the usage of centralized SAP master and process data through multiple external devices and software. By using the POS Bridge, BPO makes it easier to connect multiple external sources and targets.
