1 100% HARDIE ATLANTA SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. 1. Eligibility: Except where prohibited by law, the James Hardie 100% Hardie Atlanta Sweepstakes ( Sweepstakes ) is open to legal residents of the State of Georgia ( Promotion Area ) who are 18 years of age or older and reside within the Promotion Area at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, directors, and officers, and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings or spouse), or persons living in the same household, whether related or not, of the sponsor, James Hardie Building Products, Inc. ( Sponsor ), its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, consultants, advertising and promotional, and marketing agencies and any others engaged in the development, production, execution or distribution of this Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter or win. Other eligibility requirements and conditions of participation are set forth below in these official rules for the Sweepstakes ( Official Rules ). All federal, state, municipal, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. 2. Entry Period: The Sweepstakes will be split into two phases. The first phase begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time ( EDT ) on May 1, 2014 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 26, 2014; and the second phase begins at 12:01 a.m. EDT on August 1, 2014 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on September 26, 2014 (collectively, Entry Period ). 3. How to Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES. To enter, eligible individuals ( Entrant ) must visit a participating builder s model home featuring James Hardie siding located within the Promotion Area during the normal hours for touring and, while visiting the model home, access the entry landing page for the Sweepstakes in order to complete and submit an entry form. While visiting a participating builder s model home, an Entrant will be provided with a link to the entry landing page for the Sweepstakes, which can be accessed through ipads provided at the site (if applicable) or through the Entrant s mobile device. Entrants will also be provided cards with the entry landing page URL that the Entrant may use to register for the Sweepstakes from home. To complete the entry form, Entrants will be required to provide their first and last name and an address. Upon completion and submission of the entry form, each Entrant will receive one (1) entry ( Entry or Entries ) for a chance of winning one (1) of the weekly Prizes (as defined below). Entrants will receive an from the Sponsor confirming receipt of their completed entry form. 4. Bonus Entries: Entrants also will be able to receive additional Entries into the Sweepstakes by taking a picture of themselves anywhere in front of a participating builder s model home ( 100% Hardie Selfie or Selfie ) and then posting their 100% Hardie Selfie to the Entrant s choice of social media outlets (i.e., Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). The 100% Hardie Selfie must include the #100%HardieATL hashtag. The posting of the 100% Hardie Selfie must also include a statement that the Selfie is part of the 100% Hardie Atlanta Sweepstakes. Sponsor will employ the HootSuite program to track and to collect the User Names (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) that have posts tagged #100%HardieATL in order to identify Entrants entitled to, and eligible for, additional Entries into the Sweepstakes. The additional Entries will be added to the Entries for the Weekly Entry Period (as defined below) in which the post was identified by HootSuite and confirmed by Sponsor as eligible for the Sweepstakes. Posting of a Selfie is not an indication that the Entrant has won a prize or is otherwise eligible for a prize. Sponsor will re-tweet, share and like Selfies posted during the Entry Period to further promote the Sweepstakes. 5. Entry Conditions: In the event of a dispute over the identity of an Entrant, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the address associated with the Entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the person assigned to an address by an Internet access provider, online service provider

2 or other organization responsible for assigning addresses. All Entries must be received during the Entry Period to be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Any Entry received after the Entry Period will be void. Selfies that are deemed by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be offensive, immoral, obscene, profane, defamatory, not in keeping with the image of the Sponsor, or in violation of these Official Rules will be void. Further, all Selfies that contain copyrighted or other proprietary materials for which the Entrant has not obtained appropriate assignment of rights, as well as any content which disparages or portrays the Sponsor in a negative light, or otherwise violates these Official Rules will be void. Sponsor is not responsible for any human error, or technical malfunctions, including failure of HootSuite to properly identify Selfies. Furthermore, Sponsor is not responsible for lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, damaged, garbled, corrupt, unintelligible or misdirected Entries or Entries not properly forwarded to Sponsor, or for printing or other errors appearing in these Official Rules or other Sweepstakes materials, misprints or errors in other Sweepstakes-related information, garbled communications, failures or malfunctions of Internet connections, phones, phonelines, technical or mechanical malfunctions, or other malfunctions, problems or errors, whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Sweepstakes (including, but not limited to, HootSuite), processing errors, human errors or otherwise. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to void any Entries from Entrants whom Sponsor believes have attempted to tamper or have tampered with the administration, security, or fairness of the Sweepstakes. 6. Prizes and Approximate Retail Value ( ARV ): Sixteen (16) prizes (individually, Prize and collectively, Prizes ) will be awarded, each Prize consisting of the winner s choice of one (1) of the following $2,500 gift certificates that enhance life and the home: (a) 100% Gourmet (Kitchen Package from Williams- Sonomo); (b) 100% Entertained (Entertainment Package from Amazon.com); (c) 100% Relaxed (Bedroom and Bath Package from Bed Bath & Beyond); and (d) 100% Do-It-Yourself (Tool Package from Home Depot). One Prize will be awarded by random drawing each week ( Weekly Drawing ) throughout the Entry Period, for a total of sixteen (16) Weekly Drawings. The ARV of each Prize is $2,500, and the total ARV of all Prizes to be awarded in this Sweepstakes is $40,000. ONLY ONE PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED PER PERSON. 7. Prize Conditions: All federal, state, and local taxes, and all other costs associated with acceptance or use of the Prizes, are the sole responsibility of the Winners (defined below). Each Winner will receive an Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 for the amount of the Prize awarded, and the Prize awards will be reported as required by applicable tax law. Each Winner may waive his/her right to receive a Prize. A Prize has no cash value, is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable, and must be accepted by the Winner as awarded. Each gift certificate is subject to the issuing retailer s gift certificate rules and restrictions, which are available on the issuing retailer s website. 8. Winner Selection: One (1) winner (individually, Winner or collectively, the Winners ) will be selected at random by Sponsor the Friday immediately following the end of the applicable weekly entry period ( Weekly Entry Period ) from among all eligible Entries received during that Weekly Entry Period. Each Weekly Drawing will be conducted by Sponsor or its representatives, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. The Weekly Entry Periods for the Sweepstakes are as follows: (a) Week 1: 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 1, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 8, 2014; (b) Week 2: 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 9, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 15, 2014; (c) Week 3: 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 16, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 22, 2014; (d) Week 4: 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 23, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 29, 2014; (e) Week 5: 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 30, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 5, 2014; (f) Week 6: 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 6, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 12, 2014; (g) Week 7: 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 13, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 19, 2014;

3 (h) Week 8: 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 20, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 26, 2014; (i) Week 9: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Aug. 1, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 7, 2014; (j) Week 10: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Aug. 8, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 14, 2014; (k) Week 11: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Aug. 15, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 21, 2014; (l) Week 12: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Aug. 22, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 28, 2014; (m) Week 13: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Aug. 29, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 4, 2014; (n) Week 14: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Sept. 5, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 11, 2014; (o) Week 15: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Sept. 12, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 18, 2014; (p) Week 16: 12:01 a.m. EDT on Sept. 19, 2014 through 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 25, Entries must be submitted or posted during the applicable Weekly Entry Period in order to be eligible for the Weekly Drawing for that week. Entries do NOT carry over and are not eligible for any other Weekly Drawing, other than the Weekly Drawing for the Weekly Entry Period in which the Entry was submitted or posted. 9. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning a Prize in the Sweepstakes depend upon the number of eligible Entries received during the Weekly Entry Period for the applicable Weekly Drawing. 10. Winner Notification and Verification: Receiving a Prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. Each Winner will be notified within seven (7) days after the Weekly Drawing in which the Winner was selected by random drawing by the Sponsor. The Winners will be notified by using the address provided at the time of entry in the Sweepstakes. The Winner notification will include: an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release for completion by the Winner; a Prize selection form; and a form to provide the Winner s shipping information. Winners will be required to execute, have notarized and return the Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release, along with Winner s selection of the Prize and the Winner s shipping information within fifteen (15) days after receipt of the Winner notification . Sponsor is not responsible if unable to contact a Winner for Prize notification purposes for whatever reason, including Entrant s failure to provide a correct address at the time of entry. Disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner will result from any of the following: (a) potential Winner s inability to accept the Prize; (b) the inability of Sponsor to contact the potential Winner for any reason; (c) failure of the potential Winner to return the completed, executed, and notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release within fifteen (15) days after receipt of the Winner notification ; or (d) any other non-compliance with these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event that a potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the Prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible Entries submitted. 11. Prize Delivery: Within thirty (30) days after verification of a Winner s identity and eligibility to win a Prize, Sponsor or its representatives will contact the Winner to coordinate and to make appropriate arrangements for the delivery of the Prize to the Winner. 12. Conditions, Disclaimers, and License: By entering the Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees that: (a) he or she will abide by and be bound by these Official Rules; (b) the completed entry form becomes solely the Sponsor s property and will not be acknowledged or returned; (c) neither Sponsor nor any of its affiliated companies, nor any of their officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives (collectively, Sponsor s Affiliates ) are responsible for claims, injuries, death, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation or inability to participate in the Sweepstakes, or the awarding, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of a Prize; (d) Sponsor is not responsible for any inability of a Winner to accept a Prize for any reason; and (e) by entering the Sweepstakes, all Entrants further agree that Sponsor has the sole right to decide all

4 matters relating to the Sweepstakes, including fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure, fulfillment, and disputes from the Sweepstakes. Entries are void if unreadable, incomplete, mutilated, misdirected, irregular in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. Although Sponsor attempts to ensure the integrity of the Sweepstakes, neither Sponsor nor its Affiliates are responsible for the actions of Entrants or other individuals in connection with the Sweepstakes, including attempts to circumvent these Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned by reason of damage by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical limitations or failures, strikes, industry conditions, bankruptcy or liquidation, marketplace demands, applicable law, unforeseen obstacles, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, could corrupt, compromise, undermine, or otherwise affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, viability, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify these Official Rules, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend all or any part of the Sweepstakes, and in the event of cancellation or termination, to select winners from among all eligible nonsuspect Entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension, as applicable. Inclusion in such drawing will be each Entrant s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. Proof of submitting Entry will not be deemed receipt of such Entry by Sponsor. 13. LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY: Neither Sponsor nor its Affiliates shall be liable to any Winner or any other person for failure to supply the Prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond Sponsor s or its Affiliates sole control. 14. Release and Indemnification: BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS RELEASE AND HOLD THE SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHT, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, TRAVEL TO A PARTICIPATING BUILDER S MODEL HOME OR ACCESS TO ANY MATERIALS, OR RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY. 15. Miscellaneous: (a) Privacy: Information submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes will be treated in accordance with these Official Rules and Sponsor s Privacy Policy (as may be amended from time to time), currently available at provided, that in the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and such Privacy Policy, the terms and conditions of the Official Rules shall prevail. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees that Sponsor may share Entrant s personal information with its Affiliates for the purpose of Prize fulfillment in the event Entrant is chosen as a potential winner. Entrants whose address is submitted as part of this Sweepstakes agree that Sponsor may contact them by to make Entrant aware of information pertinent to the Sweepstakes, and to distribute information regarding Sponsor s products, special events, promotional offers, or purchase incentives. Entrants may choose to opt-out of future notifications by clicking the link in the and following the opt-out instructions. Opting in to specific offers does not improve an Entrant s changes of winning.

5 (b) Publicity Release: Except where prohibited, by accepting a Prize, each Winner grants permission for Sponsor and its agents to use his/her name, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, merchandising, promotion and/or publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without additional compensation. (c) Applicable Law: The Sweepstakes, and any disputes that may arise hereunder, shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of Georgia without regard to the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction. Venue with respect to any such disputes shall be had in the State and federal courts of the State of Georgia. 16. Official Rules: By participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and decisions of the Sponsor. The Sweepstakes will be run in accordance with the Official Rules, subject to amendment by Sponsor. Each Entrant must comply with the Official Rules and will be deemed to have received and understood the Official Rules by participating in the Sweepstakes. The Official Rules are not subject to amendment or counteroffer, except as set out herein. If any provisions of the Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Sponsor s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. 17.
