Just do it. A lot of people can survive with a lot less. We can afford to take more risks.

( tencube s accolades: Top 10 wireless innovations in Asia Pacific by Frost & Sullivan Red Herring Asia 100 Award Gettie Award 2010 Best Java App Grand Champion of Start-up@Singapore Overall winner, Android Developer Challenge 2 20

4 Business success through mobile The Business Times, 9 November 2010 NCSV alumnus & Co-founder of 2359 Media, Wong Hong Ting was selected from 1,700 student entrepreneurs to represent Singapore & pitch his business idea at the 2010 Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards (GSEA) in the US.

5 NUS revs up scheme to spur start-ups The Straits Times, Thursday Special Report, 7 July 2011 NCSV alumni Lee Min Xuan & Audrey Tan, founded PlayMoolah, a startup that uses online games to teach children how to manage their money. Both of them shared a passion for starting innovative business as well as educating children, and the idea for their enterprise grew from there. They were also roommates when they were on the NOC program.

6 Students who learnt entrepreneurship in India Tamil Murasu, 12 August 2010 The extreme weather conditions at Himachal Pradesh (Himalayas) were unexpected, said 3 rd Year Southeast Asian Studies major, Alexandra (21). The team went on the NOC programme in India and was involved with carrying out research into Ecosphere Spiti s ecotourism project. They conducted surveys and interviews with many people of diverse backgrounds for this purpose.

World Indigo (President & Co-founder) World Indigo offers passengers the ability to use mobile phones onboard ferries and aircrafts. Award winning business plans in: - Startup@Singapore Business Plan Competition 2004 and Finalists (Top 4) at Global Startup Competition This startup has ceased operation. 24

It s a dream come true for our alumni from the ilead (innovative Local Entrepreneurship Achiever Development) Programme. We caught up with Joon and Lyon (ilead Batch 3), Co- Founders of PigeonLab ( and Eunice (ilead Batch 3) from Strictly Pancakes, ( ) to find out how they are doing in their new beginnings and also the challenges they face ahead.
