2 Innowest Innowest is a not-for-profit institution that exists to deliver solutions and provide resources to local and international partners/entrepreneurs including workspace and business tools to help start-up founders succeed in their ventures since We are dedicated to developing entrepreneurial skills of local and international participants through training, technology, networking and shared ideas of Silicon Valley s business environment. Santa Clara University Santa Clara University offers a rigorous undergraduate curriculum in business, engineering, and arts & sciences since Nationally recognized graduate and professional schools include business, law, engineering and education. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara University (SCU) has a history of partnering with companies and other universities to deliver programs ranging from innovation and leadership, application of modern business analytics, and social networking for management. Leavey School of BUSINESS Leavey School of Business is a private academic institution at Santa Clara University. The graduate business program was ranked 13th in entrepreneurship by U.S. News & World Report. The economics undergraduate program also ranked 4th in the nation according to Bloomberg Businessweek. 3 INNOWEST BOOTCAMP An EXPERIENCE in the TECHNOLOGY CAPITAL of the WORLD In a 3-week program, you ll get a chance to: Certification from a highly prestigious university in Silicon Valley Participate in start-up mixers and networking events Meet Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and professionals Attend dinner events with assigned mentors from the Silicon Valley Learn more about commercialization of technology, identifying entrepreneurial ideas, utilizing support networks, and capturing the talent and reaching out to investors Improve pitching/presentation skills Visit startups and campuses of Silicon Valley companies: Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Explore attractive and touristic destinations in California

4 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES & AGENDA Develop know-how needed to convert an idea into a technology venture through interactive lectures, seminars and networking events Connect with Silicon Valley professionals as well as peers from the bootcamp Sharpen your presentation skills and present a business idea to Silicon valley investors, mentors and entrepreneurs at the end of the program Some of the Interactive lectures: Venture Opportunity Assessment Venture Formation & Team Dynamics Innovation in Successful Organizations Venture & Risk Capital Internet Marketing Basics Exit Choices and Decisions Business Models Discussions, Seminars, Case Studies, Workshops and more... Program Eligibility Student and recent graduates with a background in engineering, business, science or education; all are welcome to apply Business professionals, founders, CEOs and investors may apply This is not a sit-back and listen part-time course; applicants must have a keen interest in tech business and be willing to participate in all workshops and events Applicants should be fluent in English Tuition is $7,500 including housing, local transportation, two group meals per day Bootcamp dates (tentative): August 10th to 28th (optional road trip to Southern California, August 28-29th) Please send a cover letter and a brief resume to contact@innowest.org to apply for the program Applications will be considered and evaluated as they are received until May 8th or the class is filled, whichever may come first
