2 INTRODUCTION Jersey International Business School (JIBS) deliver a wide range of professional qualifications and career-development courses to international standards within International Financial Centres. From short courses to full degree programmes, JIBS provides career-long training and education. The school is the exclusive provider in Jersey of International Compliance Association qualifications and Central Law Training programmes which lead to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualification. We also deliver investment business training awarded by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). Delegates include: School-leavers and mature students undertaking undergraduate study or seeking to prepare for a career in financial services Professionals pursuing industry qualifications Non-executive directors requiring advanced courses and networking opportunities. This independent school operates from a central location in the Weighbridge and was established in 2009 to provide high quality and effective training and education in Investment Business, Trust and Company Management, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Financial Crime Prevention and Leadership and Management. JIBS deliver a BSc (Hons) International Financial Services degree in Jersey, which is awarded by the University of Buckingham. We also work in collaboration with the University of Manchester Business School to offer two-year part-time degrees in management with either compliance or trusts and estates. We offer the highest-quality in-company training and online e-learning solutions to organisations internationally. Our in-company training is characterised by its practicality through the use of case studies, simulations and classroom discussions. We can develop a bespoke training solution to satisfy a diverse range of training needs. DEGREES BSc (Hons) INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES Financial services is a vitally important sector of the Jersey, UK and global economies and offers excellent employment prospects for graduates across a range of career paths. This degree has been designed by the Jersey International Business School and The University of Buckingham in order to lay a foundation not only for graduate employment but for long-term career success. The degree is taught in Jersey and awarded by one of the UK s top-ranked universities. Course 2-year degree Duration: Full-time over 2 years Prerequisites: The minimum entry requirement is 260 UCAS points from three full A-Levels or 27 International Baccalaureate (IB) points, plus GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or equivalent Start Date: October year degree Duration: Full-time over 3 years Prerequisites: The minimum entry requirement is 2 A-Levels at Grade D or above or 20 International Baccalaureate (IB) points, plus GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or equivalent Start Date: January 2015 and October 2015 Cost: 8,750 per annum (plus GST) Suitable for: School leavers (18-21yrs), mature students and those looking to change career Undergraduate Employment Programme The Undergraduate Employment Programme (UGEP) provides students with a unique opportunity to benefit from paid work experience, gaining relevant hands-on experience of Financial Services with a choice of some of the world s leading financial organisations. Students undertake the employment programme in the latter two days of the week while completing the two-year BSc (Hons) International Financial Services degree, or in years two and three of the three-year degree. Organisations that have supported the programme to date include: HSBC, RBS International, Elian, UBS, Moore Stephens and Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management.
