4 4 5 LEVELS OF ACCURACY WHAT LEVEL OF PRECISION DO YOU NEED? New Holland PLM guidance solutions are compatible with a full range of guidance correction signals that enable you to choose the exact level of precision that your operation requires. GPS and GLONASS are satellite navigation systems that are owned and operated by the US and Russian governments. GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) is a term used to encompass all satellite constellation systems, but today GPS and GLONASS are the only systems included. Both GPS and GLONASS are available to users worldwide. When using a GNSS guidance receiver to track both GPS and GLONASS signals together, the number of satellites the receiver can view is greatly increased. This means you will be less likely to lose satellite coverage, improving reliability, uptime and productivity. Neither GPS or GLONASS alone are able to provide the accuracy required for agricultural use and both require corrections to improve their accuracy. A wide range of correction services are available that offer a variety of accuracy levels, and PLM guidance systems give you the compatibility to choose which accuracy best fits your needs. RTK SUB INCH ACCURACY RTK Radio Transmission uses base stations in conjunction with radio to broadcast correction signals within an eight mile radius of the base stations, when not obstructed by hilly terrain. RTK VRS uses a cellular telephone network to precisely locate your machine and provide real-time correction signals, without the need for base stations. RTK precision accuracy is ideal for row crop applications, strip tilling, land levelling and even drainage applications which require precise horizontal and vertical accuracy. 6 6 7 SIGNAL TRANSMISSION, RECEPTION AND COMPENSATION HOW ARE GUIDANCE SIGNALS TRANSMITTED AND RECEIVED? New Holland offers a wide range of receivers and antennas so that you can select the model which perfectly matches your guidance needs. From top of the range models with full IntelliSteer compatibility to the entry level option, which enables you to create simple yield maps, you ll find the right solution. From base stations which transmit RTK signals, to the DCM-300 Modem which provides access to VRS, to advanced terrain compensation technology, you ve got guidance covered on your farm. NH 162 RECEIVER This standard receiver can be used for yield or field mapping. It can receive WAAS correction signals and is a differential GPS receiver. It boasts a strong magnetic attachment as well as a simulated radar output. NH 372 GNSS RECEIVER This receiver is GLONASS enabled and has the ability to track up to 44 satellites at any one time, greatly increasing your satellite coverage and uptime. It is compatible with the IntelliSteer system and can use WAAS, OmniSTAR, CenterPoint RTX and RTK correction signals. AG 715 RADIO The integrated RTK radio is designed for use with the NH 372 GNSS receiver and built for the agricultural environment. It is fully sealed against dust, rain splash and spray. The AG 715 radio easily mounts under the NH 372 receiver housing. AG 15 ANTENNA This receiver is fully compatible with the EZ-Guide 250 monitor, and when used in conjunction with WAAS correction signals, it enables pass-to-pass accuracy of 8 inch and sub meter year-on-year accuracy. AG 25 ANTENNA This receiver works with the FM-750 and FM-1000 monitors, and is fully compatible with a complete range of correction signals, including OmniSTAR G2 / XP / HP, CenterPoint RTX and RTK. DCM-300 MODEM This is more than just a standard modem, it is your passport to enhanced productivity. It enables access to CenterPoint VRS and other third party network corrections and it plays a fundamental role in the PLM Connect Telematics applications, by sending and receiving real time machine data to enhance productivity and improve efficiency. NAVIGATION CONTROLLER II Employing the industry leading T3 Terrain Compensation technology, the Navigation Controller II takes remote space position information from the GPS receiver, and sends precise steering instructions to the vehicle, ensuring on-line performance, even when operating in hillsides or rough terrain.

7 T2 TERRAIN COMPENSATION The T2 Terrain Compensation system uses sensors to calculate and correct the roll and yaw of the machine to help minimize skips and overlaps in areas with rolling and rough terrain. PITCH RTK BASE STATION The base station is comprised of an antenna, receiver and radio link to provide RTK correction signals to the auto guidance system. These stations maintain +/- 1 inch accuracy of up to eight miles, and signal amplifiers can be positioned in hilly or forested areas to maintain coverage. The EZ-Steer system turns the steering wheel for you by combining a friction wheel and a drive motor, which is commanded indirectly by an output from the guidance display. It uses the tractor s GPS system to automatically turn on and off individual planter sections in areas that have already been covered, or at headland turns, point rows, waterways, terraces, etc.double planting of rows is avoided, enhancing yields and eliminating waste. Rather than just applying a constant seed rate, apply higher seed populations in well irrigated, or highly fertile, areas to maximize yield performance and lower application rates in less fertile areas or areas with poor irrigation. 29 REAL TIME COMBINE MOISTURE SENSING New Holland s moisture sensor measures grain moisture in real time. Samples are taken every 30 seconds and the data is sent to the IntelliView monitor. As the information is delivered in real time, the operator is kept continually informed and can adapt machine parameters accordingly. For the most accurate readings, sensor calibration is required for each different crop type. COMBINE YIELD MAPPING The exclusive patented, high accuracy yield sensor developed by New Holland is recognized as best in class. Its design neutralizes the rubbing effect of grain. Whatever the kind, the variety or the moisture content of the kernel, the senor generates an extremely accurate yield measurement. Once you initially calibrate your sensor at the beginning of the season, no further intervention is required. FORAGE HARVESTER YIELD MAPPING Precise yield data is also displayed on the IntelliView monitor, thanks to sensors that are located in the feed roll linkage which analyze crop throughput; this is combined with the machine s forward speed to give accurate yield information. This data can be printed out on the on board job printer. INTELLIFILL. LET YOUR FR FILL THE TRAILER FOR YOU Operating a forage harvester requires extensive experience and a high level of concentration. For maximum focus on crop flow and in-field progress, the ingenious 3D camera-based IntelliFill system automatically detects the trailer edge and monitors filling. Whatever the trailer size or shape, it automatically controls the spout movement to perfectly fill right to the trailer s edges without spillages. BALER MOISTURE SENSING It is imperative to record bale moisture, as an over-wet crop will spoil and be useless. The BigBaler moisture sensor uses two star wheels to penetrate the bale and an electric current is passed through to determine the exact moisture of the bale. This is then displayed on the IntelliView monitor which prevents unready crop from being baled, and enables the precise application of additive. PRECISE ADDITIVE APPLICATION All forage harvesters and BigBalers are equipped with precise additive application systems which interface with the on-board moisture sensors to deliver the precise amount of crop additive to guarantee quality. ON THE GO ACTIVEWEIGH SYSTEM Bale weighing sensors are integrated into the bale discharge chute of the BigBaler and register the weight of the bale at the point at which it becomes free from the chute, just before it drops to the ground. The ActiveWeigh system is independent of bale length, field conditions and baler movement. All information, including single bale weight, average weight, total weight and tonnes per hour are all displayed on the IntelliView monitor. Furthermore, this all happens while you continue to pick-up for non-stop baling. If that wasn t enough, a 2% accuracy level means you ll produce the bales as precisely as required. IDENTIFY EACH AND EVERY BALE WITH CROP ID The Crop ID system records information in real time about every bale. As the bale passes through the chamber, an empty radio frequency ID tag is applied, and when it exits the chamber, and passes off the chute, the information recorded by the Crop ID Precision Information Processor, including bale weight, moisture content, date and time and its GPS location, are transferred onto the tag. An infrared scanner can be used to read the tag and to ensure the correct bale is selected for every situation.
