6 Memory usage has been massively reduced when running Nitro and rendering PDF files. Ctrl + Mouse Wheel to zoom in / out, in both Nitro desktop and web browser plugin. Reader version number is shown in the title-bar of the application window QuickSign signature images are dynamically resized to logically fit the page. Transparencies are preserved when importing PNG files into QuickSign. Images imported into QuickSign are automatically converted to Black & White. Web Browser plugin supports 'Open File' link actions. Embedded font no longer ignored due to a semantic error. Adobe Custom Encoding fonts are rendered correctly. Dialogs accepting page ranges provide validation to warn about invalid input. Resolved crash when rendering inline images using DCTDecode. Quick Access Toolbar Open button does not trigger the Nitro button when clicked. Highlighting link text no longer causes black pixel artifacts. Resolved rendering issue with PDF files created by Files scanned by Canon ipf755 are rendered correctly. Preview Handler renders Windows Explorer PDF previews correctly. Resolved Module Error when printing to PDF from civilcad v Resolved alignment issues when printing to PDF from RISA 2D v.10 Demo Embedded Cambria font displays correctly when PDF is viewed on a Mac computer. Esc key can be used to close the Create PDF from File dialog. Resolved Sharing Violation when saving a PDF file previewed in Windows Explorer. File size no longer increases if view options are set immediately after new PDF file is created. View Control Toolbar no longer disappears after Full-screen view is toggled. Font substitution functions correctly with Cyrillic and Greek Unicode characters. Open / Save As dialogs use the correct frame title required for Worldox integration. Resolved shift in annotation position when Next button is clicked to navigate pages. Filename characters after a period are no longer truncated when printing to Nitro PDF Creator. Hand Tool navigation respects the correct page order when using Continuous Pages view. Reader 2.2 New Features Print from right-click context menu in Windows Explorer. When Nitro is your default PDF viewer, clicking Print in the right-click context menu will open the PDF and automatically send it to your printer. doc.spawnpagesfromtemplate JavaScript function at runtime. This JavaScript function is used to add new pages to the active PDF document (based on a hidden template created at time of form design). Keyboard input language detection. Text insertion tools (Type Text, Form Fields, etc.) will automatically load a font based on the user s preferred input language set on the operating system. 6 Nitro

7 E.g. Japanese characters will be automatically available when using text insertion tools if Japanese is set as the default input language. Disable line width when rendering path objects. Enabling this preference (from the Page View preferences section) will ensure line widths are ignored when path objects are rendered. This is useful when working with very complex and line-heavy architectural or engineering documents. Rich text annotation / form field support. Annotations or form fields using rich text (bold, italics) will be rendered accordingly. Updates Keyboard shortcuts are no longer overwritten. Improved storage management of shortcuts preserves custom settings across application sessions. JPEG2000 image rendering. Color rendering accuracy for some JPEG2000 encoded images has been greatly improved. Many bug fixes and improvements. Many improvements in PDF rendering, printing and general application quality have been included in this version. Reader 2.1 New Features Support for 64-Bit Thumbnail Viewer. Selection Tools with Copy/Paste functionality inside Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Page View Zoom from 1% to 6400%. Paragraph recognition update alignment detection (justify, centre, right align). to Nitro PDF Creator Updates Resolved issue with files not rendering in Pro 7/Reader2, but did in Pro 6 and Acrobat. Viewing a PDF in IE9 no longer shows the PDF in the upper left corner. Resolved utest ID Crash when creating a QuickSign profile from a PDF file. Resolved utest ID Crash when navigating to page 13 [Day 2_Lecture 3_CDMP-1]. Resolved spacing issues when resizing text within Typewriter objects. Preferences present in HKLM are respected when preferences are written to HKCU. Resolved error: CAPRegPath::GetFileMimeAssoc returning unversioned ProgID. Resolved Bugsplat Stack Key ID: Nitro crashes with selecting Options in the Create from File dialog. Resolved Bugsplat Stack key ID 51 - Nitro crashes immediately when opening document. Random musical characters are no longer displayed. Resolved crash when scrolling through specific PDF files. Mathematics symbols are rendered correctly in PDF files made using TeX Resolved compatibility issues with the Web Browser plugin and Firefox 5. Resolved issue with print jobs generate blank pages. Application Preferences > Plugin Manager shows correct status for Evernote plugin. Table grid lines in spreadsheet are converted successfully. 7 Nitro

Markup Text can be used on a page that has both vertical and horizontal text. Resolved utest ID [Bookmarks] Go to a page in another document opens the document at the correct zoom level. Watermark transparency is respected when PDF if sent to physical printer. Wingdings font is processed / rendered correctly. Web browser plugin correctly interprets all links in FireFox and Chrome. Typewriter objects created in Nitro Reader 1 can be edited using Nitro Reader 2. Image colors are printed correctly with HP printers. EMR_GRADIENTFILL is supported. CHANTHABANE (TrueType) font is displayed correctly. Resolved crash when attempting to add text after collapsing all comments in Comments Panel. jpeg2000 images using JPXDecodeStream are rendered successfully. Popup annotation displays all characters for the subject field. Browser for Folder dialog is locked in focus when selecting a conversion/export destination folder. Resolved issue with cursor disappearing after creating more than one QuickSign profile in the same session. QuickSign profile name supports use of Unicode characters. Browser plugin print preview for reversed pages allows page navigation. Resolved issue with drag-and-drop into the Create PDF from File dialog. Undo/Redo works correctly with Alignment tab for Typewriter objects. Resolved AutoRow Height errors with Print to PDF from Microsoft Navision. Recent documents are included in Windows 7 Recent jump-list. Arial Black font is converted correctly via Nitro PDF Creator. 8 Nitro

Display: 1024x768 screen resolution Additional requirements: Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 (or above) Microsoft Office 2003 or newer (for Office integrated features) Addins are not compatible with 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office 2010 Install Procedure (Administrative privileges are required to complete the installation) 1. Download the installer and double-click to run it. 2. Click Next to accept the license agreement, and follow the prompts by clicking Next. 3. Click Install to begin the install process, and then click Finish when complete. 4. Use the License Manager to enter your license code and activate Nitro PDF Professional. Uninstall Procedure (Administrative privileges are required to complete the installation) 1. In the Windows Start Menu, select Control Panel. 2. In the Control Panel, click on Add/Remove Programs (Windows Xp), or Programs and Features (Windows Vista / 7) 3. In the list of installed programs, right-click on Nitro PDF Reader 2 and then click Uninstall. 4. The uninstall process will prompt you if any running applications must be closed, and will then remove Nitro PDF Reader. 9 Nitro
