Hi Serena, I hope that you are well. Now the dust has settled and thing are starting to get back to normal for us here. I wanted to write and say thank you. I honestly can't tell you how much I appreciated all your hard work. I can't remember how much we told you at the time, but we lost 5 loved ones in the 6 months before the wedding, 2 very close family friends, my aunt, and both of my grandparents. There were many times when planning the wedding was the very last thing I wanted to do, and other times where I thought that with so much sadness surrounding the wedding, how were we ever going to enjoy our weekend? You made it work. Having you to trust and rely on kept me going. I really really could not have done it without you. As a result, it was the most amazing weekend of my life. Not filled with sadness, but with complete and utter joy. It was truly magical. You helped bring it all together, and I loved your attention to detail. I thank you from the very bottom of my heart, and yet it doesn't seem enough. I shall miss all our s, visiting and sharing coffee with you, and I hope that if you are ever in the UK that you will contact us. We would love to meet up with you and you are always welcome in our home. I would very much like to thank the man who conducted our ceremony. We were both blown away by his touching reading, and how special he made our service. We felt so very welcomed. Could you possibly tell me how I can contact him? Just to send a quick letter of thanks. I hope you managed to get some good photos for your website. We are still waiting for Angus to finish our photos, but as soon as I have them, I shall forward some to you, for memory sake. So, thank you so much... We wish you the very best in everything you do. With all our love Lisa & Mark xxx

21 Date: Thu, 16 Dec :48: Subject: Re: greetings from Serena at Gargonza From: To: CC: Dear Serena, Great to hear from you! I wonder if we can write a testimonial for you: "Serena's intelligence, humanity and zesty humor make her a very talented wedding and tour planner. She knows where to find the best of everything: the seasonal produce and flowers, the highest quality hotels, the most unusual church frescoes. For our wedding in April 2010, we wanted to evoke the casual elegance of the Italian countryside. She hit the nail on the head with every detail, and the quality expected and loved by locals came at local prices. She knows everyone. You can rely on Serena to get everything just right, to ask all the right questions, to manage any crisis. Our wedding happened during the volcanic eruptions in Iceland, and she kept track of all our guests, coming from all over Europe and the U.S., rearranged all the hotel arrangements and hotel pick-ups, and was incredibly flexible and joyful all the while. She arranged tours for family members and kept track of all the itineraries. I can recommend Serena without any reservation whatsoever. You will love her. Finally, she is a student of history and offered a tour of a Castle where we were staying. This tour was wonderful: A brilliant and highly entertaining mix of anecdotes from the local families, descriptions of everyday life in medieval Italy, and explanations of various works of art and architecture. She relishes Italian history." We hope to see you again sometime. Please don't hesitate to put anyone in touch with us. Yours, Johanna and Ben
