Upon successful completion of this course, the students will have gained basic knowledge of scientific research methods in this area, based on the visible market opportunities and the available social resources, as well as knowledge in their suitable practical application, i.e. usage of efficient strategies for improving sport management in general. They will have 4
5 10. acquired knowledge in sports marketing and alternative concepts; in the process of sport management and marketing research; in the phases of the process and methods of marketing research in Sport Management. The students will have acquired knowledge and skills for independent implementation of marketing research projects. They will study consumer behavior, and acquire knowledge in and efficiently combine marketing instruments sport marketing mix. 11. Abilities (competencies): The students will be able to apply the marketing concepts in sports organizations, as well as to make the right marketing decisions based on a previously conducted marketing research. This program aims to acquaint the students with the psychological dimensions of management, the traits of the successful manager, and to teach them about the basic decision-making procedures in physical education and sports. Course Content: Fundamentals of research related to cognitive psychological space in physical education and in sports, the cognitive dimensions and their structure, research related to motivational psychology in physical education and sports. Fundamentals of research related to the developmental characteristics of the subjects in physical education and sports. Fundamentals of research and strategy in team building and teamwork in physical education and sports, managerial traits and their efficiency in physical education and sports (the traits and characteristics of a successful manager who and why, the skills of successful managers, and the meaning of personality traits). Fundamentals of research in the management process and managing styles in physical education and sports (managing style as the manager s orientation towards task realization and building of interpersonal relationships, how and why, autocratic and democratic management, characteristics and manifestation modes, personal and situational conditionality, effective application in the right situation).
