A Notice to Mariners was issued by the Hydrographic Office with reference to amendment of buoyage at Kentish Flats crossing and placing of an additional buoy at BritNed crossing. Kentish Flats Three special marks and a South Cardinal Mark have been installed to mark the four rock berms on the crossing of the Kentish Flats and London Array Export cable. At these crossings the typical sea bed level was -4m LAT. Due to the newly installed rock berm the depth in some areas is now -1.0m LAT. The navigational marks are installed in the following positions: N E N E South Cardinal exhibiting Q (6) + L Fl 15s light character N E N E BritNed cable crossing (51 28'.583N, '.417E). At this crossing the seabed level varies from -6.5m LAT to -9m LAT. Due to the newly installed rock berm the depth in some areas is now -4m LAT. A North Cardinal Buoy has been installed in the following position:- Named BRIT NORTH N E North Cardinal exhibiting Q light characteristic 7. Safe distance A 50m radius advisory caution zone is established around each wind turbine and offshore substation platform. Due to repairs to the CPS there will be 500 meter exclusion zones put in place at various locations on a daily basis, managed through the Marine Coordination center. All vessels are reminded that the J-tube/Bell Mouth configuration extend several meters out from the TP perimeter at or below sea level. A 200 meter Safety Zone will be issued and enforced around the locations that will be controlled by LPS works as there will be Rope access technicians working on the blades. 8. Work Site The London Array Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 20km from the Kent and Essex coasts in the outer Thames Estuary. Phase one consists of 175 turbines delivering a capacity of 630MW. Two offshore substations export the generated electricity to shore based facilities from where it is distributed to the area of Greater London. The wind farm is located between two sandbanks, Long Sand and Kentish Knock and has varying water depths across the site ranging from 0 to 23m LAT Figure 1: London Array Offshore Wind Farm Location

11 Vessels Operations will be conducted from the vessel Red7 Reel, a support RIB COM III and shallow water vessel Myss, and also vessel Relume and support RHIB s Jetstream and Blue Spirit operated by Red7Marine Offshore Ltd. The VOS Shine and her daughter craft Pytheas will join the diving operations on site in June/July. Pytheas is currently working as a daughter vessel to Red 7 Reel. During operations the Red7 Reel and Relume will be acting as a mothership for the Myss and the 3 supporting RHIB s.

16 Additional Notes of Guidance to Fisherman Regarding On Going Construction Activities at London Array Offshore Wind Farm Construction works at London Array Offshore Wind Farm are complete and the wind farm is operational. However, remedial construction works are required at a number of turbines and inter array cable locations. This note should be read in conjunction with Code of Practice for fishing boats and fishing within the wind farm which describes more general guidance to fishing and access within the wind farm during the operational phase. Guidance to Construction Related Exclusions October 2013 November 2014 In order to avoid damage to the wind farm assets whilst remedial construction is conducted at London Array the following guidelines should be adhered to: Safety Exclusion Zones remain in operation for October 2013 and will be reinstated in March 2014 through to November This means an enforceable 50m exclusion from each turbine and 500m exclusion from a construction vessel will be in operation for this period. Between October 2013 and November 2014 an advisory 100m exclusion should be observed around each turbine and offshore substation due to the risk of exposures of array cable ends at foundations whilst remedial works are on-going. Cable reburial is required at the following locations and as such these areas should be avoided in totality: o Location ' N ' E length of exposure approx. 20 m o Location ' N ' E length of exposure approx. 8 m o Location ' N ' E length of exposure approx. 7 m o Location ' N ' E length of exposure approx. 5 m o Location ' N ' E length of exposure approx. 6m o Location ' N ' E length of exposure approx. 5 m o Location 7 start latitude ' N start longitude ' E end latitude ' N end longitude ' E length of exposure approx. 926 m o Location 8 start latitude ' N start longitude ' E end latitude ' N end longitude ' E length of exposure approx. 865 m Care should be taken within the wind farm site to avoid snagging array cables. Although not expected, natural seabed variation may reduce the depth of burial over buried cables without London Array s immediate knowledge.

17 Snagging cables not only poses a risk to health and safety but could also cause a serious risk of damage to wind farm assets. Fishing next to turbines Fishing next to construction vessels Fishing near array cables Associated remedial construction activities October 2013 November 2013 March m enforceable 100m advisory exclusion around exclusion around turbines + 50m turbines advisory exclusion 500m enforceable exclusion around construction vessels Avoid locations where known exposures are present Survey vessels and dive teams may also be operating 500m enforceable exclusion around major maintenance vessels Avoid locations where known exposures are present Survey vessels may also be operating March 2014 November m enforceable exclusion around turbines + 50m advisory exclusion 500m enforceable exclusion around construction related vessels Avoid locations where known exposures are present Survey vessels, dive teams and construction workboats may also be operating November 2014 onwards See O&M Flyer for guidance See O&M Flyer for guidance See O&M flyer See O&M Flyer for guidance
