3 1. Proposed System Summary TraX is feature rich software with a full array of services; enabling organizations manage their vehicle economically and efficiently. It incorporates state-of-the-art GPS-based tracking, GIS based real time monitoring, an easy-to-use two way communication facility and new-age security alarm feature. It also fuses powerful reporting capabilities, enabling costeffective maintenance. It has following features: 1.1. Existing Challenges of Managing Pickup/Drop Vehicles Deterministically finding out current whereabouts of vehicles Reconciliation and validation of vehicle trips Finding out which vehicles are currently idle and can be used in case passengers requesting emergency pickup/drop Easy to use communication facility with the drivers Finding out congested areas in real-time Emergency communication from vehicles in case of accidents/other emergencies Report generation of vehicle trips 1.2. Easy to use Real-Time Monitoring System Selection of a user defined zone will show all vehicles in the zone in real time and will plot them Vehicle details will be populated in the right panel. Selection of a vehicle will facilitate on -click calling to the vehicle, if needed Vehicle status will be dynamically populated in the panel (for example, if a vehicle is stuck at a point, or a vehicle has passed a user defined POI, the message will be shown) Ideation Confidential Page 5 of 14

6 2.3. Two-way Voice Communication Voice Call can be initiated from the Control Panel at the Control Room to the selected vehicl e. The call will be received at the driver s end automatically and the driver can communicate with in-built Microphone and Speaker System installed in the vehicle. Call can also be initiated from the Driver s end by pressing a switch attached with the devi ce. The call will be automatically redirected to the Control Room and the call center person attending the Control Room Server can accept the call through the client interface only. 7 2.4. Specific Vehicle/Person Tracking Facility A single vehicle/person can be queried on the basis of vehicle/person registration number. The map will track the vehicle/person in real time. Ideation Confidential Page 7 of 14

8 2.5. Geo Fencing Facility Send Alert if vehicle crosses the allocated geo-fence. Send alerts if the vehicle does not stop on pre -defined pick-up point. Send alert if the vehicle stops on any other point other than the pick-up point. Provide alert if the vehicle stops for more than specified time at the pick -up point. 9 2.6. Track Replay Facility A single vehicle/person can be queried for replay of a particular trip or a timeframe. The map will show the vehicle/person plot during the period, in real-time or fast forward mode. Ideation Confidential Page 9 of 14

10 2.7. Emergency Alarm In case of an emergency alarm pressed from a vehicle, the alarm will be shown to every user and immediate action can be taken. Ideation Confidential Page 10 of 14

11 2.8. Personal Tracking TraX allows Personal tracking using GPS/GPRS based mobile phones. User has the option to select various polling time dynamically to suite his/her requirement. Tracking can be enabled or disabled from server end in real time. Low cost custom mobile can also be provided Reporting Capability In case of an emergency alarm pressed from a vehicle, the alarm will be shown to every user and immediate action can be taken. The TraX software has extensive reporting capabilities. Following reporting capabilities are included in the system. Vehicle Trip Report Distance traveled Report Time elapsed Report Speeding Report/Graph Geo-fencing Reports (Vehicle going outside an allocated zone) Vehicle idle/stop time Report Daily/Monthly summary Report Apart from these, reports can be made readily available according to specific requirements. 12 3. Implementation Model 3.1. Service Model The product model is targeted for Companies who are willing to take the complete service from us. The Control Room will be located in our premises with all required software and hardware. The client will be able to access, monitor and control the system through a web client (connected with a telephone modem / USB Data Card).
