2 Operating Manual Insta ebook Welcome to Insta ebook! Insta ebook is an electronic Law book. Insta ebook empowers its Users with; in-depth legislative, regulatory and procedural information of diverse Indian Legal information, namely, Act, Rules, Notifications, Schedule, Forms and Circulars without having to go to multiple sources. Cross referencing related provisions; The search interface to facilitate your research and get you the requisite information for asking. Insta ebook software can be downloaded from Click on any of the e-book to read.

3 Main Page 1. State Selection: In case multiple state e-book is installed, state can be changed from here. 2. Access Bar: selected part of statute can be changed from here. E.g. In case rules are being read then clicking on Act button will open Act of the same statute. 3. Index Bar: This is index for the selected part of statute. Selection can be made on clicking on any item from the list. The same will be displayed in the reading pane. 4. Navigation Bar: Previous Page/Next Page: Navigating in the e-book sequence wise. Moving to next or the previous page in the statute. Notes: notes button will allow user to make own notes, which can be saved and retrieved.

4 Home: Home screen will allow user to come to index of selected part of statute. Help: Help section to answer all your questions about using this e-book. Full Screen: this will display content in full screen. Save: Save the content of current page. The content will be saved in HTML format. The saved can be used for ing or storing on hard disk for reference. Statutes Page: use this button to change to other parts(s) of statues. It will take you to main page where one can select desire statute. Update: After successful installation one has to click on this button to update the content of e-book in the system. This button will download the content of all the e-books purchased by you. Reading page Reference Pane: All the pages in e-book are referenced for easy reading. All the links referenced in current page is displayed in the pane. Clicking on any link will open the content in new page.

5 Search Search button will open search tab. Select provision/s and type the text to be searched. Based on the criterion search result will be displayed.

6 FAQ What is an Insta e-book? Insta e-book is electronic version of a Law book. Various statutes can now be read electronically. Relevant provisions are linked and cross referenced and are available at a click of the button. Two provisions can be opened in separate windows for ease in reading. Insta e-book is available for which statutes? Insta e-book is available for all India VAT, Central Sales Tax, Entry tax, profession Tax and Sales Tax Laws (prior to VAT implementation). It is also available for Service tax and complied Works contract tax referencer. How is the Insta e-book available? Insta e-book is available in e-form. Users can download the software from the website of Instavat, by making online payment for the same. Do I need to buy Insta e-book for all the States or is it available as per my requirements? Users can buy the Insta e-book only for those Statutes and for those States which they require as per the relevance with their business. Can I get the relevant provisions of the Statute in one click? Yes, in Insta e-book users can search relevant provisions in the Act, Rules, Notifications and Circulars in one click.

7 Can I make Notes and references along with the reading of the provisions? Yes, users can make Notes against the relevant provisions while reading and save for future reference. As displayed in below printscreen, the users can make notes on the right side of the window. The said Notes will be saved in the folder Instavat Notes automatically on your desktop.

8 Can I view the law prevailing prior to the enactment of the current Statute? Yes, users can also view the provisions prevailing prior to the current Statutes, by clicking on the History icon. Does Insta e-book offer good and clear readability? Yes, users can view the full page of the content by clicking on Full Screen icon. Do I need internet connection for viewing Insta e-book? No, Insta e-book can be viewed offline once the software is installed. Do I require any specific configuration in my PC / Laptop for installing the Insta e-book? Intel Pentium or equivalent processor with 1GB RAM and at least 500 MB Hard Disk Space. Internet connectivity is required to download e-book. Can I take prints from the Insta e-book? Yes, users can take prints from the e-book. In case of any help required, how can I contact Instavat? The users can click on the help icon wherein an id will be displayed. Users can send their queries and doubts to this id which will be replied by Instavat. Kindly explain the step-by-step process of installation of Insta e-book? Visit Instavat.in website to buy e-books. All the e-books are listed in products=>e-books section. Once e-book has been selected one has to follow the instruction on screen to complete the form and make payment. After successful transaction page will be redirected to information page. This page will display product id which is very important and should be preserved for future reference. The page also has a link to download the reader software which is required to read Insta-eBook. After downloading the application please start installation process as under:

9 After that click on Next icon where it will ask for whether you agree with the terms and conditions of Insta e-book. Click on I Agree and the next screen will be displayed as shown below: The above screen will show the path where the Insta e-book will be saved in your C Drive. You can change the path as per your requirement. Thereafter click on the Next icon and the installation procedure shall start. Once the above procedure is followed, the download procedure will be completed and the software icon i.e. Insta e-book will be displayed on your desktop / screen. Click on the said shortcut of Insta e-book as displayed on your desktop after the following screen will be displayed in front of you wherein it will ask for starting the download of the list of e-book of Statutes as purchased by you.

10 Click on the Start icon and the installation of all the e-books, purchased by you, will start. This procedure may take minimum minutes depending upon the e-books bought by you. After the above is done, again the following screen will appear wherein it will ask you for Update of the software. 1. Here you click on the Update icon and wait till the message appears that the Insta e-book is successfully installed. 2. After the update is successfully completed, the software will ask you to Restart the Insta e- Book which means that your Insta e-book is ready to be viewed.

11 How to select provisions for reading ( like Act, rules, Notification) Do I have to login to Instavat.in for purchasing the E-Book? Yes. In order to buy the e-book you have to login to Instavat portal. I have installed e-book on my machine and now I want to use the same on my Laptop. What should I do? Instavat e-books are designed to work with single installation. Can I purchase more than one copy of e-book. Instavat e-book is single CPU license and is linked with id. It can be installed only on one machine. In case you need 2 copies of e-book for a particular State, you can purchase e-book by creating another login on Instavat portal. Instavat application is installed correctly on the machine. However I am not able to see content. Make sure you have downloaded the e-book once the application is installed. You can click on update button to get content of e-book in your PC/Laptop. Internet is weak or not available. Following error message appears in case internet connectivity to Instavat server is slow.
