1 How to Activate and Gain Access to your Pearson Digital ebook This guide will walk you through the process of activating your Pearson digital ebook using a computer (PC or Mac). After purchasing your ebook through Campion, you will receive an very similar to the image shown below. This will provide you with the product you have ordered, your digital activation code required to gain access to your ebook, and instructions on how to successfully activate. To begin the process of activating your code, please follow the URL in your . For reference, this should be Page 1

2 You should be greeted with the following page in your web browser: If you have an existing account (i.e. you have used Pearson Places in the past), then you can login under the existing users section. Otherwise, a new account will need to be created. For the purposes of this guide, we will go through how to create a new account user To begin, click on Create a free Pearson Places account (highlighted above) Page 2

3 You will be presented with the following form: Enter in all appropriate details. Username: Given/Surname: Display Name: address: Password: Password Q/A: Security Code: Enter in the student s address Enter in the student s first and last name Choose a display name for the student Enter in the student s address Enter in a minimum of eight (8) characters and preferably with at least one upper case, one number and one symbol Choose a secure question and answer Enter in the captcha code shown above the box Please also click the checkbox indicating you have read and understood the Privacy Collection Statement and then click Register Please keep a record of your log-in information in a secure place for later reference. 4 After registering, you can now activate your product by entering in your Access Code at the top of the page. This Access Code can be found in your from Campion. After clicking Submit, you will be asked to confirm your code one more time, as well as enter in an additional security code as shown below. Simply enter the code into the box below and then hit Submit to continue. Page 4

5 If you have entered in the code incorrectly or have received a faulty code, you may see the following screen: If you are greeted with the above screen, please confirm that the code you have entered is actually correct or not. In this case, the last four digits of the code have been entered incorrectly. If you have entered in your code correctly and are still receiving this message, please contact our Campion ebook helpdesk at [email protected] and provide your Pearson username and password, as well as the student s name and school. If you have entered in your product correctly, you will be asked to confirm your product and enter in the student s Year Level and School. Please also note the subscription period. Simply click Activate to activate your product. Page 5

6 The following screen should now appear: This means that your product has now been activated successfully and can be viewed through the Pearson Passport as seen below: Simply click on the ebook to view your product. In this case, it is the Pearson English 10. Page 6

7 Accessing Pearson ebook 3.0 files Offline Pearson ebook 3.0 files can also be accessed while offline (this function is not available for Pearson 2.0 files). You will first need to install the Pearson ebook program on your PC or Mac, and this can be done by following the instructions in this Pearson FAQ For help on accessing and viewing your ebook 3.0 offline through the PC/Mac program after you have installed it, you can follow this FAQ.
