1 Scout Link: An Integration Overview Scout Analytics solutions are designed to seamlessly integrate with your existing company infrastructure, databases, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. This overview provides a description of the Scout Link technology and the process for integrating your data with Scout Analytics to enable revenue optimization. Through correlation of user behavior and revenue model, Scout Analytics solutions generate targetable customer and audience segments for monetization. As shown in the How It Works diagram, the solutions integrate data from multiple sources and then score, segment, and output results to existing systems such as CRM. In turn, this provides you with actionable revenue opportunities. Our solutions include technology and services to ensure streamlined integration and support. 2 Scout Link Technology Layer Scout Link is the technology layer that streamlines integration with your infrastructure by supporting a number of purpose-built options for data exchange. As shown in the architecture diagram, Scout Link provides three approaches for integration: real-time data collection, batch data loading, and cloud connectors. To create an operational solution, the integration process is as follows: Your Website Collector or Loader Scout Hub Loader or Cloud Connector CRM Sales Force Automation Marketing Automation Billing Automation Loader 3rd Party 1. Establish Usage Feed 2. Establish Customer Feed 3. Establish User Feed Usage Feed Delivery of the usage data feed can be accomplished either via the Scout Link Collector, a JavaScript addition to your existing site; or Scout Link Loader, a secure FTP location to which log files are sent. Option 1: Scout Link Collector The Scout Link Collector employs the industry-standard practice of placing a JavaScript in a global location on your site. The JavaScript executes in an asynchronous manner to send information about usage to the Scout Analytics service on the Internet. The following snippet illustrates how the Collector would be implemented within the master page structure on your site. Note that the highlighted scode represents your unique customer code; this will be provided to you during implementation. Scout Link Integration Overview 2

4 Option 2: Scout Link Loader Scout Link Loader is the alternative to the Collector described above. The Loader enables you to push your usage data stored in a log file format of your choice to a secure FTP location on the Internet. Our implementation engineers will map your data feed to Scout Hub, eliminating work on your end. The following represents an example of data being pushed to Scout Loader: Customers can push files to the Scout Loader as often or as infrequently as they wish, depending on their individual analysis needs. Customer Customer data can be pushed to the Scout Hub by way of two different options. The first is via the Loader, which is described in the previous section. The following represents a sample of the type of information within customer data that is accepted and loaded into Scout Hub: Company Name Purchased License Type of License Contract Value Start Date Renew Date The following represents how the values appear when entered into Scout s code: The second option for integrating customer data is through the growing list of cloud connectors that enable direct integration into CRM SaaS solutions such as Salesforce. com, Zuora, Adestra, and others. 5 User Scout Analytics categorizes users as any individual who is granted access rights as part of a purchased license. In most B2B cases, users are employees of the specified customer. In B2C cases, the customer and user are often the same. When pushing user data to the Scout Hub, the Scout Loader option can be used. The following represents a sample of the type of information within user data that is accepted and loaded into Scout Hub: Username Address Company Name Title Third-Party and Custom Integration You may wish to include additional firmographic data for customer segmentation such as industry classification, or you may wish to extend user data with demographic data. In these cases, the Scout Link Loader can be used to append data to customer and user records.
