Nature s Philosophy, Future Thought Respect for nature not only means respecting the environment in which we live, maintaining stunningly beautiful landscapes or saving whales from extinction. In the long run, respect for nature leads us to change our way of life and our attitude towards the world andits inhabitants. During the last centuries (especially since the XVII century, with Galileo, Descartes, and Newton s Scientific Revolution), we - the western civilization- have looked upon nature as a lifeless entity which therefore did not deserve any special consideration. For example, based on the thinking of Descartes, science assumed that animals were simple machines and that their screams were not an expression of suffering but just a noise emitted by a misadjusted mechanism. As a result we have become accustomed to viewing nature as something which is totally at our disposal: a warehouse from which we can extract raw materials at will, and an unlimited dumping ground for our mountains of waste. However, in the past few decades, a series of events best condensed into the expression ecological crisis - have shown us that we can no longer maintain this attitude. 1

Our Attitude Quality Ranking Control when the company was founded, Biobizz has made a positive contribution with its commitment to ecological awareness. We produce soil, natural nutrients, fertilizers, stimulants, and additive mixtures for plants. These products have been developed for every sensible horticulturalist, gardener or demanding user who makes a conscious decision to reject every product containing chemical ingredients - which seen in a long term perspective will ultimately destroy your harvests, land, and the planet. We show the same respect we have for nature to our colleagues, distributors, consumers, and suppliers. Our preference is for quality instead of quantity; our products and the way they are made exemplify this belief. The very best levels of service and support, together with the current production infrastructure, have enabled us to evolve into the most experienced and highly recognized supplier of nutrients for top quality plants in the Netherlands. Our vision is to make self-sustaining gardening an integral part of every home and community. Biobizz is fully dedicated to researching, developing, manufacturing, and marketing organic gardening products that have a positive impact on our society and ultimately the world we live in. 2

Truth Does Not Lie The Organic Materials Review Institute is an international non-profit organization which determines which contributions are permitted for use in organic production and processing. OMRI s staff is managed by a Council of Directors, which is widely representative of the organic industry: assessors, farmers, supplies, processors, traders, consumers organizations, and animal and environmental protection groups. Products from the OMRI list are suitable for use in food stuff processing and organic production. Control Union is an international organization for organic production inspection and certification throughout the world at a global level in accordance to standard EEC Regulation No. 834/2007 and 889/2008. This organization, guarantees that certified products do not contain any chemical fertilizer or pesticide, chemical or synthetic flavors, colors or preservative, or organisms genetically modified (GMO). CU is the only certification and inspection organization that shall provide organic guarantee certificates such as Organic Farming and its corresponding logo which will normally come printed in labels of the referred products. 4 Production rules for organic production have been provided in EEC Regulation s No. 834/2007 and 889/2008 and in their amendments. This Regulation has come into force within the European Union countries, but also sets criteria for importing organic products from outside the European Union.

The Good Quality Soil Mark is an independent inspecting mark for potting soil, soil improvers and fertilizers, meant to be able guarantee the product quality and ensure safety and contamination free of the products. Products that contain the inspecting mark, are guaranteed so you can use them safe and to your satisfaction. The National Organic Program (NOP) is the federal regulatory framework governing organic products in the United States. It is also the name of the organization in the Department of Agriculture (USDA) responsible for administering and enforcing the regulatory framework. The labeling requirements of the NOP are based on the percentage of organic ingredients in a product. Biobizz products are under the label of 100 percent organic. Products labeled as 100 percent organic must contain (excluding water and salt) only organically produced ingredients and processing aids. The USDA seal and the seal or mark of involved certifying agents may appear on product packages and in advertisements. Agricultural products labeled 100 percent organic cannot be produced using excluded methods, sewage sludge, or ionizing radiation. 5

ORGANIC dry FERTILIZERS Pre Mix is a well-guarded secret. It is used in combination with high-quality organic worm castings to fortify any soil or soilless mix. Pre Mix combines the qualities of many different organic fertilizers, rock meals, trace elements, and fungi in such quantities that optimum growth, flowering, and maximum resistance to disease and fungus are guaranteed. pre mix tm It is used as a transplant or starter fertilizer to give added nutritional value and microbial life to your soil or planting mix. Blend into soil or soilless substrate when planting or transplanting. Pre Mix can be used to make your own soil mixtures (3-5% dose of the total soil planted) or added directly to the soil as a standard basic fertilizer. Did you know... Guano, being a slow release fertilizer, avoids the common problem of excess dosage that can cause irreparable damage if we apply too much fertilizer to our precious plants. 7

ORGANIC substrates All Mix is a heavily pre-fertilized organic soil mixture. It has been designed to emulate rich outdoor soil with a full micro active eco system, but in such a way that it has enough power to sustain lush plant growth for a couple of weeks with no extra fertilizer input required. All Mix creates fertile growing conditions throughout the year. All we have to do is provide a perfect environment to encourage the plants to flourish. all mix When using All Mix for the first time, moisten the substrate and leave to stand for 36 hours. This will give the active fertilizer Pre Mix and the microorganisms it contains a chance to start working before the plant goes in. Keep the soil slightly warm at all times, as reducing the soil temperature slows down microbial activity, which makes it more difficult for the plant to grow. Allow the soil to dry out between each watering. As the substrate dries out fresh air is introduced - soil needs to breathe too! Biobizz advice: Re-use your All Mix! Remove the top surface layer of soil from the pot or bed and discard it. This soil may contain insect eggs or larvae. even if you are certain it is free of eggs or larvae, it is best to be on the safe side. if you intend to reuse the soil, prune the plant leaving just a small stalk and the roots in the soil. Then pull up the stem up and remove the roots completely. Sift through the soil with your fingers or a hand fork and remove as many of the old roots as possible. Leaving a few behind is not a problem, however larger root mass will use more of the soil s energy for decomposition. add fresh Pre Mix and Worm Humus, then moisten and leave in a warm place for at least a week. 8

Light Mix is the ideal organic substrate for growers who want to control their plant growth by applying liquid fertilizers (right from the initial growth). Larger quantities of fertilizers may be applied on demand to any kind of plant, including heavy feeders, without the risk of overloading the soil and causing a nutrient burn. Micro activity is created as the liquids work with the soil to produce organic catalysts. Light Mix is also ideal for cuttings, young plants, and seedlings. This soil mixture ensures rapid root development as well as a vigorous initial growth. The mixture has been blended to ensure optimal drainage throughout the entire medium, a property that is essential if automatic irrigation systems are used. Biobizz advice: light mix Similar to All Mix, Light Mix could also be reused. But now with even more convenience as there is no need to add worm castings and Pre Mix. Simply add 30% of fresh Light Mix, or even nothing at all, pick out the old roots and start growing again. nothing could be easier! with Light Mix, the plant relies on the grower and not on the compost. you must pay more attention to the plant s colour and growth pattern and feed and adjust the dose accordingly. 9

Coco Mix is probably the best coco coir, 100% organic product on the market. It can be used in combination with special nutrients containing minerals of vegetable origin. Coco coir, a waste product of the coconut industry, has proven to be an ideal medium in which to grow plants. To allow coco fibre to become useable, the organic matter must first decompose over a period of time so that the strong fibres are softened. The material is then washed and shredded to become the familiar substrate we all know. coco mix coco mixtm Coconut fibre contains plenty of air and little water; the ph may decrease to 5 or 6. Coco Mix can be used in all hydroponic crops to replace rock wool. Simply fill small pots with Coco Mix and treat them like plugs. It is also compatible with all types of nutrients. It can also be used to refresh All Mix or other soil mixtures to improve aeration and nutrient uptake. Growing in pots on a coco-based substrate is a popular cultivation method. Growers who wish to become more organic can use Coco Mix in combination with their usual A+B range, as well as with the Biobizz range in conjunction with their regular feeds. Did you know... Most commercial coco is chemically softened using acids to aid the decomposition process. This means that more chemicals are used in the washing process. Biobizz Coco Mix is left to decompose naturally on a beach in Sri Lanka for 20 years before being washed using only natural water. it is then prepared for use. 10

ORGANIC substrate enhancers Worm Humus is high-quality, 100% organic compost. It can be used to refresh All Mix, be added to substrate mixtures already in use, or to prepare the garden subsoil. Our 100% pure, organic worm castings are labtested and to ensure the very highest quality they have has not been produced using any farm yard waste, landfill waste or compost. No manure from horses, cows or other grazing animals has been used in its production. The diet fed to the worms includes high quality mineral rock dust and it is highly controlled. These characteristics, combined with the natural soil microbes the casting contains, make the highest standards for worm castings achievable. Did you know... worm humus worm humustm Vermicompost, or Vcompost, is a heterogeneous mixture created from decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and pure vermicast produced during the course of normal vermiculture operations. vermicast, also known as worm casting, worm humus or worm manure, is the end- product of the breakdown of organic matter by some species of earthworm. containing water-soluble nutrients and bacteria, vermicompost is an excellent, nutrient-rich organic fertilizer and soil conditioner. The process of producing vermicompost is called vermicomposting. 11

Nutrient Schedule Biobizz has been trying to develop a simple but practical nutrient schedule. Our main goal was to create a schedule that everybody could use and understand. Education is the key to both our and the consumers success. We were forced to limit ourselves to a single standard, but extra information can always given on request. The schedule is designed for use with Biobizz products. These basic guidelines will show you step by step how to get the most from your Biobizz products and the best from your plants. The schedule is divided into eleven weeks - with two weeks of growth followed by nine weeks of flowering. Nutrient dosage of nutrients is measured in millilitres per litre (the European schedules). For example: In the 3rd week of the All Mix schedule, add 1ml Bio-Grow, 1ml Bio Bloom and 1ml of Top Max per litre of water. 12

ORGANIC FERTILIZERS Bio-Grow is a liquid organic growth fertilizer, which can be applied to most types of soil and substrate mixtures. Bio-Grow activates the bacterial flora in the substrate thanks to it basis of 100% Dutch organic sugar beet extract, commonly known as molasses. Molasses is a syrup that contains sugar. It forms as a by-product of sugar manufacturing using sugar beet or sugar cane. Wheat starch is the other important raw material used for the production of grain alcohol. Before being fermented, starch is transformed into glucose with the help of enzymes. So, in other words, molasses are a by-product or residue of a natural fermentation process. They differ from other raw materials due to their high betaine content that helps activate micro activity in the soil through a process of organic facilitation. Bio-Grow contains 70 trace elements and vitamins B1, B2, C, and E. Just like all Biobizz products it has a low phosphate content, as this substance is considered harmful to our bodies and the environment. Biobizz advice: Bio-Grow is a complete, stand- alone fertilizer. when the first leaves appear, add Bio-Grow immediately and continue through flowering until the end of fruit production. A rich harvest of sweet fruit is obtained thanks to the natural sugars and potassium in Bio-Grow. Bio-Grow also creates a perfect balance of bacteria in the soil. BIO grow 14

Bio Bloom is a complete liquid organic fertilizer which contains a small amount of nitrogen and enough phosphorous and potassium to ensure exuberant flowering. Trace elements and hormones of vegetable origin are also added to improve the flowering process. Bio Bloom also contains enzymes and amino acids, which work in harmony with the soil to promote flowering and fruit production. BIO BLOOM BIO BLOOMtm Bio Bloom for soil, soilless, or fortified coco is therefore a complete fertilizer used from the beginning of fruit or flower production until harvest. It is packed with naturally occurring minerals, micronutrients, amino acids, and hormones of vegetable origin to ensure exuberant flowers and fruit setting. Biobizz advice: Bio Bloom is food for flowers and is made up of the major elements of potassium and phosphor. Potassium makes the petals and flower heads form and bloom and phosphor provides them with the food to produce and make the calyxes and petals in the first place - the building blocks so to speak. The addition of potassium, particularly, into the feeding program informs the plant, along with the change in the daylight cycle, that it is time to reproduce. a flower does this like any other organism. it makes itself as appealing as possible to attract the opposite sex to fertilize it so it can make seeds; this is the purpose of a flower. Sometimes a seed or a fruit is not required in the flowering process and the pollination partners are kept separate. This confuses the plants somewhat. with the addition of the elements required for flowering it forces the flower to produce more and more pretty petals in order to announce its availability to a mate. So as a result we get fuller, bigger and more beautiful blooms. Some might consider this a form of cruelty, but the beauty embodied by a flower is appreciated by all.

Fish Mix has always been a loyal friend to gardeners because it conditions substrates to stimulate bacterial flora and accelerate growth. It is an infusion of organic fish emulsion from the North Sea mixed together with extract of Dutch sugar beet. Fish Mix boosts growth of all living organisms in the substrate, as well as improving and stimulating production of microorganisms and useful bacteria in every type of soil and coco-based substrates. Poor quality soil is transformed into rich and fat soil after a few days of use, providing plants with natural minerals. Fish Mix fish mixtm Following the requirements of organic farming, Fish Mix has not been extracted with acids or stabilized with BHT. It is mild enough to be used in the first stages of a plant s life or sprayed directly onto leaves during the vegetative stages of growth. Did you know... T he use of fish and fish by-products is an ancient agricultural practice. as far back in time as about 4000 years ago the chinese were already using the fish residues and waste to fertilize their soil for growing vegetables. In india it was customary to bury a whole fish below particularly special plants. Today, both the european continent and the rest of the world are becoming more familiar with this powerful fertilizer. 16

ORGANIC stimulants Top Max is a 100% organic flowering strengthener which has the threefold purpose of dramatically increasing the actual size and weight of clusters of flowers, leaving a sweet, smooth taste in the finished product and facilitating the uptake of nutrients by the plants. It has been especially developed for use in combination with Biobizz soil mixtures. top max tm The extraordinary way Top Max assists in the flow of nutrients is made possible through the use of humic acids, which are formed over millions of years by deposits of vegetables and soil. Its main source is a deposit called Leonardite, which is the material with greatest organic concentration in the planet. Leonardite was formed from trees and vegetation that grew, flourished, and died during the carboniferous period 300 million years ago. Fulvic acids are responsible for healthy floral growth. They are reclaimed from certain exceptionally rich sources of humate deposits found deep within the earth. They contain a natural electrical charge which attracts nutrients and minerals from both the microbiological soil base and the applied organic fertilizers. Due to its particular properties it is responsible, together with humic acids, for contributing energy to old cells and stimulating new ones. Did you know... To benefit from the optimal performance from Top Max, supplyit to your plants independently. add Bio-Grow, Bio Bloom, Alg A Mic or any other nutrient you use regularly, then wait for a couple of minutes and add Top Max. This ensures that the plant absorbs all the nutrients that are contained in the soil and not only in the liquid, thereby reaching all parts of the plant to achieve abundant and full bloom. 17

Alg A Mic is a revitalizing product made from a high- grade, organic seaweed concentrate extracted through cold-pressing rather than chemical solvents. It contains a high content of trace elements and hormones of vegetable origin, naturally occurring amino acids, and vitamins catering to the whole spectrum of plants needs. It boosts exuberant green foliage and enhances resistance to diseases. alg a mic tm Seaweeds have been harvested for food, fertilizer, and medicine for thousands of years. History books record that the Chinese used seaweed for medicinal purposes as early as 3000 B.C. Alg A Mic is not a fertilizer; it is a bio stimulant to be used along with regular plant nutrition. Unlike many bio stimulants on the market today, Alg A Mic is the organic alternative. The Seaweed five-principle effect on plantgrowth: immune system: improves the plant s ability to withstand certain levels of environmental stresses and reduce the attacks and flare-ups of sap-sucking insect pests on the plants. chlorophyll: provides greater maintenance of chlorophyll, leading to greener plants. Microbes: serves as a source of food for beneficial and benign soil bacteria, resulting in a large increase in microbe numbers. nematodes: helps reduce nematode damage. This includes a reduction in hatching and a disorientation or simple burn-out of immature nematodes (J2s), minimizing root penetration. frost initiates or speeds up the acclimatization process even when the plant is not subjected to cold stress. This allows plants to tolerate greater levels of cold, reducing the amount of damage.

Root Juice is a harmonious balance of premium humic and fulvic acids with seaweed. It has been especially formulated to organically promote vigorous root development and stimulate the biological life of the radicular system. The result - explosive growth! Ideal for use with hydroponic or soil grown crops and in coconut substrate, it strengthens crops by increasing their resistance to diseases. Root Juice is a 100% vegetable root stimulant that creates: An explosive root growth in already rooted plants through the stimulation of natural soil life surrounding the root system. A better yield due to the ability of the plant to accelerate the nutrient uptake. A higher resistance to high EC-values. It produces a strong plant that is resistant to disease and insect attack. Did you know... it was originally developed to accelerate the root growth of transplants in soil. However, Root Juice has now become popular in north american deepwater culture hydroponics (including bubbling buckets, and ez clone users), and with rock wool growers because of the explosive root growth associated with this product. It has also found favour with Bonsai gardeners in Japan and the usa who need strong roots developed from eco-friendly and organic sources for longterm and sustainable development. root juice tm 19

ORGANIC boosters Bio Heaven is a specially formulated plant energy booster which contains carefully selected biological stimulants, such as amino- acids. Amino-acids are the basic building blocks for proteins and enzymes, which are essential for the plants structure and metabolism. As a result, Bio Heaven enhances the utilization and translocation of nutrients in fertilizer blends & foliars and boosts the anti-oxidant system of the plant. It also rids plants of the toxins built up during periods of stress, repairs chlorophyll andrestimulatestheplant. Theseprocessesstimulatedby Bio Heaven enhance the availability of nutritionally important trace elements, which can enter plant cells. bio heaven bio heaventm Benefits: Highly concentrated. Rapid and complete uptake of the key nutrients. Accelerated chelating of essential macro and micro nutrients. Improves yield and quality of harvest. Improves moisture retention in plants and reduce moisture stress. Stimulates enzymatic systems in plants to increase plant respiration. Provides a valuable source of carbon for soil microorganisms. Compatible with all fertilizer programs/brands, whether organic, bio mineral or synthetic. DID YOU KNOW... The L-amino acids used by Biobizz for Bio Heaven are extracted from soybean cake and other organic protein sources via enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation. This process ensures the amino acids are extracted in L-form, the only form that can be absorbed and used by plants. Besides the L-amino acids, Bio Heaven contains natural aged humus, one of the most versatile components in soil environments. This component, in combination with the other active substances in Bio Heaven, extremely increases the quantity of minerals in the soil. Normally, the percentage of mineral uptake is around 5-10%- the active substances used in Bio Heaven can increase this figure up to 95%. 21

ORGANIC strengtheners Leaf Coat is a ready-to-use product that can be applied to plants growing in soil, coconut substrate and rock wool up to two weeks before the end of the flowering period. Leaf Coat is an organic product made from natural latex which was developed to restrain evaporation. Within a few hours after application, a very thin elastic layer of 1.5 micron, which contains the nutritious elements for the plant, is formed on the leaves. Its effect will last for up to two weeks until it is decomposed by light or sunlight. leaf coat tm This natural latex creates a protective, permeable, self- degradable layer on the leaf, while at the same time it allows the passage of air and light. This thin layer is however effective enough to protect the plant against pests and diseases. Leaf Coat is extremely suitable for use as an environmentally friendly alternative to pesticides. Leaf Coat strengthens plants and gives them a powerful expelling effect on harmful insects. It also prevents damaging leaf fungi. It has a pleasant smell, contrary to synthetic and toxic products. It gives no irritations and can be used safely. This product has been inspected and certified as organic. Leaf Coat will save the distributor, retailer and end consumer money, and reduce the use of pesticides. Growers have experienced no detrimental effects on their crops: no sign of inhibited plant growth or toxic residues. ready to use refills 22
