2 AASHTOWare is a unique and powerful enterprise software suite designed by transportation professionals for transportation professionals. States pay an annual fee directly to AASHTO for the use of these programs. The goal of the AASHTOWare program is to provide a mechanism for AASHTO member departments to pool their resources on a voluntary basis to produce mutually acceptable computer software products that are generally not available.

12 AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction Project Precon replaces the existing client/server Trns port modules of Trns port PES and LAS with a web-based product offering similar functionality. In addition to the replacement of the current functionality, features such as simplified installation, a unified database, consolidated security model, workflow/phase handling, a new reporting tool, improved handling of generic fields, and customization features.

26 Trns port SiteManager (SM) Trns port SiteManager is a comprehensive construction management tool. It provides for data entry, tracking, reporting, and analysis of contract data from contract award through finalization. SM Construction has been fully implemented since May 2012.

28 SiteManager Materials SiteManager Materials provides recording, tracking, and reporting of material samples and test results from job sites, plants, and test labs. SM Materials is just beginning implementation.

29 Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) The LIMS system in the SiteManager product integrates the laboratory information management functionality with SiteManager s materials management. This integrates material and lab administration to provide sampling and testing workflow management. System functionality includes the ability to establish a material sample chain of custody, manage access to samples and tests based on qualifications, define standard and alternative sample testing workflows, maintain sample test queues and schedule tests, and audit and track samples.
