1 Interpersonal Communications PSYC 151 University Studies Program Course Outline COURSE IMPLEMENTATION DATE: Pre 1998 OUTLINE EFFECTIVE DATE: January 2013 COURSE OUTLINE REVIEW DATE: January 2017 GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION: Through activities, discussions, lectures and projects, this course provides students with a greater understanding of themselves, others, and relationships. This course addresses topics such as: What is the best way to discuss a problem with another person? What is the best way to listen? How can we get our point across without causing defensiveness? What approach should we use to resolve conflicts? Psychology 151 addresses issues and develops techniques to improve your communication ability and, as a result, your relationships. Program Information: This course can be used as either a required course or an elective in some University Studies Programs or some Human Kinetics Programs. Delivery: This course is delivered face-to-face.
