15 Employee Self-Service Employee self-service means greater transparency for both employees and managers. This paperless process of time collection results in time and cost savings. Leave Requests Made Easy Kaba s Employee Self-Service module simplifies, speeds up, and standardizes administrative tasks. Employees can conveniently use this web-based application on their PC to create, display, or change their own present and absence times, or to submit requests for approval. This means vacation and flextime requests are easy to plan and manage. Requests are sent to the appropriate supervisors via for their approval, or can be processed directly in the b-comm solution. HTML Time Statement All employees can view and print their personal time statement on a PC or data terminal. This enables organizations to address any discrepancies in the time statement at an early stage, before it becomes a bigger problem. Time Recording on a PC The Web Terminal enables time recording and absence/leave request management from a PC. The Web Terminal uses the same colored function keys as the stationary Kaba Terminals. It can also be configured to use company-specific settings for functions, symbols, or background images. On the Web, employees can view their time records and personal time accounts. When used in combination with the Employee Self-Service module, supervisors are informed via of any changes to bookings. This saves time from having to register changes manually in SAP, thereby reducing overhead costs. Time and Attendance Reporting Available Modules Attendance Board - This color-coded overview provides a high level look at which employees are present and absent. The module always provides the most up-to-date information on the present status of your employees. Department managers can take immediate action if an employee is unexpectedly absent. The attendance board provides the basis for the roll call. In the event of an emergency, the system presents the rescue teams with lists of names and information as to the most recent whereabouts of the missing persons. HR Supervisor - This tool allows supervisors to register, correct and approve HR bookings before they are transferred to SAP. Only after approving the data are the bookings loaded. This prevents errors from being transmitted to SAP and saves time spent having to make laborious adjustments. It also allows supervisors to track the present status of their employees.
