Leasing was, is and is likely to remain a successful product, UniCredit Group granting - without interruption, even in difficult economic times - funding, both in financial leasing and in operational leasing. The leasing brings some clear advantages for your company: By purchasing an equipment in leasing, you can significantly reduce the initial cost for equipping with modern equipment. The investment effort is lower and thus you can use your own capital for other projects or to maintain maintenance some increased liquidity. VAT payment is taken over by us, because we pay to the supplier of the financed asset the total price (including VAT). Also, VAT related to leasing installments is deductible. Leasing is a great alternative to equip companies with complex machinery, since the renewal of products and obsolescence are accelerated in many areas. The periods for which the equipment is financed are, generally, shorter than those corresponding to their physical life. Therefore, at the end of the lease contract they can agree with the suppliers solutions such as operational change of obsolete equipment. In case of external procurement of financed goods we provide all our experience in analyzing suppliers, performing import operations, guarantee of payment and any other specific activity. The approval process of lease financing is short and our leasing policy regarding the collaterals is very flexible. We may also have the situation in which we do not require any collateral, this being established by the asset itself. The leasing flexibility is also found in adaptation of financing structure to the specifics of each industry. An example is the financing in agricultural field, where we have adapted the repayment schedule to the seasonalality of the crops.
