1 Recipients After logging in, within the Commercial section of the left menu, choose Recipients If the recipient you need is not listed, choose Add Recipient from the top Enter the recipient information. If the recipient will be used for International wires, you must check the box for International Recipient. To set up a payment type or template for this recipient, select Add Payment in the Manage Payments box. 1

2 Add Payment - Domestic Wire Transfer Select Wire Transfer for Domestic Wires. International Wire Transfer is not an option if you did not select International Recipient when adding the Recipient. If you would like to have this template available to other recipients, you can select them in the User Template Access box on the right. Enter the applicable information, verify and Submit. Once everything is submitted, the recipient is ready to use in a domestic wire payment. 2

3 Add Payment - International Wire Transfer If you select International Recipient on the Recipient screen, when you Add a Payment, it automatically defaults to International Wire. If you would like to have this template available to other recipients, you can select them in the User Template Access box on the right. Enter the applicable information, verify and Submit. IBAN (International Bank Account Number) - If you have an IBAN please enter it in both the To Account/IBAN and IBAN field. IMPORTANT - If you enter information in the IBAN field it supersedes any information in the To Account/IBAN field and this information will go out on the wire as the beneficiary s account number at the beneficiary bank. Once everything is submitted, the recipient is ready to use in an international wire payment. 3

4 Edit Recipient If the recipient information needs to be edited, you will first click on Recipients within the Commercial section of the left menu. Select the recipient to be edited and double-click to open. Within the Manage Payments box, select the payment to be edited and either double-click on it, or choose the Edit Payment icon. Edit the information, and click Submit to save it. If there is an existing recipient that is set up for a different payment type, and you need to send a wire transfer, under payments you would select Add Payment. Note: this will only work for domestic wires. You will need to create a new recipient and select the International Recipient box to create an international recipient. 4

5 Completing a Wire Transfer To complete a wire transfer, you will choose Wire Transfer or International Wire from the Commercial section of the menu. Recipient If you have previously added this recipient, they will be listed in the Recipient drop-down list. If the recipient is a new recipient: - For a one-time payment, you will need to enter all required fields - If you will be sending to this recipient again, you should add the recipient first Subsidiary Each company is already set up with their main Tax ID to originate payments. If you manage multiple companies with multiple tax identification numbers, you would need to create subsidiaries. If you need to set up subsidiaries to originate payments, please contact Online Support. Verify all information before submitting. If everything looks good, click on the Submit button. You will then receive a confirmation message: Are you sure you want to submit this transaction? If the payment needs to be edited, click the Cancel button to go back to the payment screen. Note: If you click OK - the wire HAS NOT been sent to they bank yet, it is in Draft form. 5

6 Completing a Wire Transfer (cont d.) Once the wire is submitted and approved, you will see it listed in Online Activity with a status of Processed. After the Bank sends the payment, you will also see a Tracking ID. If the Bank cancels the wire, the status will still be Processed, but within the description will be the word: CANCELLED. Cancelling a Wire Transfer If the wire has been submitted to the Bank and shows as Processed, you must call the Bank to cancel the wire. You cannot cancel a wire within online banking after it shows as Processed. To cancel a wire before approving and sending it to the bank, find the transaction in Online Activity. The wire will be in a drafted status. You can click on the triangle/lightning bolt and choose Cancel Transaction. 6

7 Host Failed If you receive a Host Failed message when completing a wire transfer during regular business hours, please call the Wire Department at Mercantile - they will need to re-start the host interfaces. Once the connection is re-established, you will need to: 1. Go to Online Activity and search for a transaction with the status of Host Failed. 2. Click on the lightning bolt icon and choose Copy Transaction - this will copy the failed wire into a new wire message. 3. Verify all information, enter any needed/required information and submit and approve the wire. View, Copy or Print Click on the lightning bolt icon or double-click on the transaction. Copy - this will bring you to the wire screen and the details of the payment will be copied into a new transaction. You will then need to enter the amount and submit for a new wire. Print - click on the printer icon to print a copy of the transaction. Mask Accounts and Routing Numbers - the Transaction Details screen also has the option of showing or hiding sensitive account numbers. These numbers will be masked when printed as well. Mask/Unmask 7
