3 Certified Risk Associate (CRA) EIRM The European Institute for Risk Management is a knowledge centre that gathers and disseminates risk management knowledge based on best practices within the field. Our objective is to give our clients and partners a deeper and broader understanding of risk management, thereby strengthening both their strategic decision-making and their daily work with risk-related issues. About Certified Risk Associate (CRA) To provide a basic-but thorough introduction to the subject of modern risk management. It is directed towards practical knowledge and application. The principles are based upon a broad organisation-wide definition of risk management ; known as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). 6 The effective management of risk is, the balance between the risk and reward Principles The course follows the principles established by the Committee of Sponsoring Organisations of the Treadway Commission (COSO). Throughout many years, COSO principles have won wide international recognition. Structure The course in Risk Management is based on self-study with an integrated testing feature over online. Successful completion of the course requires students to pass online, multiple-choice (A - B - C - D) tests at the end of each unit. Students can normally complete the course in three to four weeks, with one hour of study a day. Upon completion of the course students will receive the EIRM Certificate in Risk Management. 5

Course Handbook The course handbook describes the content of the programme and also provides advice and guidance on study including case studies Learning Materials - All study materials for the certificate are provided online. - Hard copies of the modules and supporting textbooks are also available but on additional cost - Students also receive complimentary subscriptions to online journal enabling them to further develop their understanding Communicate with tutors - Students can regularly communicate with the tutors on any questions or concerns regarding the programme and modules directly or via Online Discussion Board - Allow students to network, share ideas and assist each with their studies, revision preparation for the test Certificate Workshops and teaching support - Workshops are run for each intake to provide students with the opportunity to meet the tutors and seek assistance and clarification with their studies. 6

8 When will be the examination? The students can undergo the examination once they complete each unit respectively What are the entry requirements? The certificate is open to all and does not need any formal learning requirements Are there any exemptions?
