1 PARTNERSHIPS FOR LEARNING
2 PARTNERSHIPS FOR LEARNING NEVO is a partnership made up of Department for Education and Child Development (DECD) and non-decd secondary schools, which provide a wide range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses to Year 10, 11 and 12 students in North East Adelaide. The job-related courses will increase pathway options for students through the provision of VET choices linked to the Industry Pathways Program. In collaboration with the North East Trade School for the Future, NEVO provides curriculum and learning choices, which support all students in these schools to achieve the SACE and to provide pathways, which lead all students to further education, training and/or employment. NEVO VET courses are hosted by schools and Registered Training Organisations (RTO s) and are available for students from DECD and non DECD schools to enrol in. Students stay enrolled at their Home School, and attend the Host School or RTO for their NEVO VET course. WHAT ARE THE benefits OF choosing A NEvO vet course? Gaining a nationally recognised qualification while completing your SACE. Getting a Head start in your chosen career. Making your senior school study more relevant and interesting. Providing opportunities to learn on the job through workplace learning. Gaining the skills and knowledge that employers look for. Providing pathways into apprenticeships, traineeships (including School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships) further education and training and direct employment. Upon completion of a NEVO VET Course, students wishing to continue their training pathway can do so through: A School-based Apprenticeship: Only DECD School students can meet with the Apprenticeship Broker to discuss their options.
