5 Self-Diagnosis by Remote Controller (Residential Air-conditioner) In case of ARC447A [Chec Method] With the wireless remote supplied with the unit, or sold separately, malfunction s by failure diagnosis can be confirmed. (Press timer cancel down for 5 seconds continuously.) Timer cancel. Hold the timer cancel down for 5 seconds, with the remote set toward the indoor unit. 2. The display on the remote changes to the error display and a long beep notifies this indication change. Note: To cancel indication of malfunction, hold the timer cancel down for 5 seconds. The display also cancels itself if the is not pressed for minute. In case of ARC455A, ARC452A, ARC433B, ARC423A, ARC47A [Chec Method ]. When the timer cancel is held down for 5 ON seconds, a indication flashes on the display section. 2. Press the timer cancel repeatedly until a continuous beep is produced. The indication changes in the sequence shown below, and notifies with a long beep. <In case of ARC433B7, 8, 9, 7> No Code U4 F3 E L5 A E5 F C9 U0 E7 No Code C7 H8 J3 A3 A C4 C5 H9 J A5 SENSOR POWERFUL MODE QUIET ON OFF TEMP TIMER FAN COMFORT SWING CANCEL Note:. Diagnose by the sound. pi : The figure of the ten's place does not accord with the malfunction. pi pi : The figure of the ten's place accords with the error but the one's not. beep : The both figures of the ten's and one's place accord with the error. 7. Determine the malfunction. The digits indicated when you hear the beep sound are error. 8. Press the MODE to exit from the diagnosis mode. The display 7- means the trial operation mode. 9. Press the twice to return to the normal mode. Note: When the remote is left untouched for 0 seconds, it returns to the normal mode.

Continue the operation in step 4 until a buzzer remains ON. The continuous buzzer indicates that the malfunction is confirmed. Continuous beep : No abnormality. 3. Press the MODE selector. The left 0 (upper digit) indication of the malfunction flashes. 4. upper digit diagnosis Press the UP or DOWN and change the malfunction upper digit until the malfunction matching buzzer (*2) is generated. The upper digit of the changes as shown below when the UP and DOWN s are pressed. *2 Number of beeps Continuous beep : Both upper and lower digits matched.
