Dr. Morrow teaches a wide range of courses in Catholic Theology including The Theology of Pope Benedict XVI, The Theology of the Old Testament, The Eucharist, and Ecclesiology. Scully, Ph.D. Course Description: This course considers the centrality in the Catholic tradition of: a spiritual life rooted in personal prayer; the Church s various traditions of prayer and spirituality (e.g. Benedictine, Dominican, Franciscan, Carmelite and Jesuit); and prayer as a basis of both radical personal transformation and modes of communal life (e.g. monasticism, religious life and ecclesial movements). Ellen Scully, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Undergraduate Theology, earned her Ph.D. from Marquette University, and she specializes in the theology of the early Church. Her research focuses on soteriology, that is, on the way in which humans are saved in Jesus Christ. She studies soteriology by looking at the way theologians understand Christ s salvation acting now (for example, in the Eucharist) or in the future (namely, at the eschaton). Her current research centers on the soteriology and eschatology of Hilary of Poitiers and Augustine.
