The Expert Group on Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) is delighted to once again be hosting National Continence Care Awards. The Awards are organised by MHP Health with funding from Astellas Pharma Ltd and will take place in of Commons on 13 April The Awards are designed to demonstrate support ambition, excellence and leadership in continence care across country. ORGANISATION AWARDS This Award will go to a clinical commissioning (CCG) that can demonstrate how Commissioning high its approach to commissioning has made a demonstrable improvement in delivery quality continence care of continence care locally, and how it plans to deliver NHS England s Excellence in Continence Care in year ahead. Promoting continence in primary and community care This Award will go to a GP practice, community continence service, pharmacy, third sector or social care provider that has taken demonstrable steps to promote independence, improve quality of life and dignity and reduce reliance on containment strategies in local area. Dignity through continence care This Award will go to a provider of NHS or care services that can demonstrate how high quality continence care is embedded in its organisation s dignity agenda, ensuring that toilet support and continence care supports people s sense of privacy and respect. Improving staff training about continence care This Award will go to a provider of NHS or care services that can evidence it has a robust training programme in place about high quality continence care, and impact that skills improvements have had on continence awareness and care standards. Improving patient inmation about continence This Award will go to a provider of NHS or care services that has an engaging and detailed patient inmation scheme, with evidence that inmation is given at right time and used to support patients to have inmed conversations about ir care. INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM AWARDS This Award will go to an individual or team based in a provider of NHS or care services, Continence care leader: whose personal commitments and actions have been instrumental in raising driving and achieving profile of continence care in ir area, and have led to improvements in local services excellent continence care which improve outcomes and experiences patients as well as delivering financial locally and organisational benefits. This Award will contain three sub-categories: Continence care team Healthcare professional (an individual) Social care worker Patient champion This Award will go to a patient or patient representative that is taking an active and voluntary role to work with or patients and health and/or care professionals to improve continence care in ir area and beyond, benefit or people living with incontinence. Simply fill in entry m (attached) each category you wish to submit an entry, and include any you believe support entry. There is limit to number of entries you can submit. We also ask that you attach a high-res photo to support your submission when you submit your entry. This could be a photo of yourself/ team involved in activity, or an image that represents your work. If your entry is successful, this photo will be used at Awards Ceremony in Parliament and it will appear in Winners Booklet, which will be distributed at and after event. As such, please ensure you have permission to use photo or image in this way. Entry ms must be received by 6pm on Friday 19 February, using contact details overleaf.
