4 PROFESSIONAL TEAM PROFESSIONAL TEAM SIMON CHHOEU M.TAX(HONS) FCPA CA CFP FFIN PARTNER, BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICES, TAXATION, SMSF SPECIALIST Simon Chhoeu, previous Partner and Founder of Wintergate Chartered Accountants of over 10 years, have recently merged with Horwood Associates to combine resources and further add value to clients. Simon, as Horwood Associates Partner for Business Advisory Services brings with him a wealth of knowledge in Manufacturing, Construction, Agricultural and International exporting businesses from over 16 years professional experiences in the Industry. He has been instrumental in helping and mentoring clients with multi million dollar projects and assisting them to establish business links and opportunities in Asia, in particular China. Simon also has extensive experience in the area of selfmanaged superannuation funds, estate planning and succession planning for family businesses. Simon has completed a Bachelor of Accounting and a Masters of Taxation Law with Honours at the University of Technology Sydney, Certified Financial Planning course at the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He is also a FCPA and a CA. Simon is a member and on the Board of various community groups and non profit organisations. He is currently an Executive Divisional Councillor of CPA Australia (NSW) Division, a role which he has done over the last 5 years. THU NGUYET LE PARTNER, ACCOUNTING, US EXPERT Thu Nguyet Le joined as a partner of Horwood Associates in Prior to becoming a partner, Le held positions as a senior accountant for New England Financials, a firm featuring over 2000 employees subsequently acquired by Metlife, and the South Florida Government, as well as advising as a senior official for an international charity with extensive operations in South East Asia and Vietnam. Armed with an astute eye for detail, Le boasts over 10 years experience in accounting and business management. Fluent in both written and spoken Vietnamese, she offers essential cultural insights into Horwood Associates Vietnamese operations. She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from the University of Sydney.

5 PROFESSIONAL TEAM PROFESSIONAL TEAM MAGGIE LI CPA PARTNER, BUSINESS SERVICES, ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION Maggie brings to Horwood Associates big business experience in a range of professional services practice areas, including business advisory, accounting, taxation, costing, financial reporting, and system improvement. During her distinguished career at KPMG and a number of major multi-nationals, Maggie worked across a diverse spectrum of industries, including pharmaceuticals, retail, real estate/development, and manufacturing. She is also director of an Australian wine business specialising in wine export. Having lived and travelled throughout China, New Zealand and Australia, Maggie brings a culturally finessed understanding of the Chinese and Australian market and speaks fluent Mandarin. Maggie graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Commerce, and from MIT in New Zealand with a Certificate in IT. BRIAN TAYLOR FCA ASSOCIATE PARTNER, AUDITING As Horwood Associates auditing expert, Brian Taylor brings to the company more than 30 years experience as a chartered accountant. Having commenced his career with KPMG in 1977, Taylor has travelled across nations and industries over the course of his professional life. A veteran of both private and public sectors in Australia and overseas, he has accrued experience as a public company auditor for a range of different industries, including biotechnology, clinical waste and not-for-profit organisations. At Horwood Associates, Taylor applies his expertise to internal and external audit, business risk assessments, strategic reviews and due diligence assignments. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and has been a Registered Company Auditor since 1995.

6 MANAGEMENT TEAM Alexander Le CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER MANAGEMENT TEAM Alexander Le has been CEO of Horwood Associates since Previously, Le held senior roles at Ernst and Young (Business and Taxation) as well as senior advisory positions with a number of international accountancy firms, before accepting a partnership with Wintergate Chartered Accountants in Alexander, renowned for his shrewd pragmatism and iconoclastic vision, provides expert advice informed by over 20 years experience consulting for mid-large corporate firms and multi-national companies. As a business advisor, Le has helped clients lead the way in a number of industries, including property development and management, construction, telecommunications, manufacturing, transport, medical services, engineering, non-profit ventures and retail. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University, specialising in Business Services, Advisory and Taxation. Hoy Tran CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Hoy Tran joined Horwood Associates in Before accepting the role of Chief Operating Officer at Horwood Associates, Tran honed his experience in property, holding positions in project funding, sales/marketing and investment advice. A proven high performer, Tran has advised on a number of business ventures, from start-up to national expansion. In 2002, he was a key member of a property marketing team which sold properties valued in excess of $1.5 billion over 4 years. Under Tran s leadership as Chief Operating Officer, Horwood Associates has staged a strategic largescale expansion into Asia, maximising Tran s in-depth knowledge and network of investor and business relationships in the South East Asian region.
