2 Bengaluru International, the gateway to South India, is situated to the north of Bengaluru on the National Highway 7 (Bengaluru Hyderabad Highway), and is 40 kms from the city s Central Business District. This easy-to-use guide will acquaint you with the travel options to / from the airport, along with the parking and transport facilities at the airport. Visit for details and live traffic updates. 3 Parking & Valet Service Bengaluru International has earmarked ample parking space for passenger vehicles of all types. The fully automated parking area managed by Central Parking Solutions (CPS) can accomodate 2000 vehicles. The parking area is classified into various sections (mentioned below) to cater to the varying needs of passengers and visitors. P1 Long Term Parking P2 General Parking P3 General Parking Drop-off / Pick-up Area / Valet Car Drop-off Area Premium Pick-up Area Valet Car Pick-up Area at the Inner Curb (Refer Map at the End for exact locations of the same) P1 Long Term Parking For people who would spend at least 4 hours or more at the airport and for passengers who would like to leave their cars overnight or for a few days. P2/P3 General Parking For people who would spend up to 2 hours at the airport. The rates in these blocks ensure that visitors spending fewer hours can avoid higher parking charges, but can park close to the terminal building. Drop-off / Pick-up area Exclusive 10 minutes free for customers who would like to quickly drop-off or pick-up passengers. To avoid any inconvenience to the large number of visitors expected, this area needs to be cleared as quickly as possible. Waiting beyond 10 minutes will be charged. Premium Pick-up Area This is the closest parking point in front of the terminal building and is located right in front of the arrival hall. This area also acts as a quick and easy point to receive visitors. Valet Parking To avail the valet parking service, the passenger needs to bring the car to the designated area ( ). He will be provided with a token. The car can be picked-up upon his arrival from the pre-designated parking area ( ) against this token. Curb Side Parking will not allowed at curb side. Parking Rates P1 - Long Term Parking (Regular): Rs 50/- per 4 hours P1 - Long Term Parking (Overnight): - Rs 300/- for the first day (24 hours) - Rs 200/- for every additional day P2/P3 - General Parking: - Rs 40/- per 2 hours - Rs 20/- per every additional hour Drop-off and Pick-up Area: No charges for the first 10 minutes Rs 50/- for every additional minutes Premium Pick-up Area: - Rs 50/- for first minutes - Rs 50/- per every additional minutes Valet Service: - Rs 0/- for the service - Valet parking charge is as per the rates charged for P1 - Long Term Parking (refer above) 4 5
4 Shuttle Service The airport shuttle service connects various locations in the city with the airport. This service provided by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation provides a comfortable travel by an air-conditioned Volvo bus at reasonable rates. (Non air-conditioned services are also available at lower rates.) The service connects the airport with the city at a frequency of 10- minutes. (Please refer the city map for pick-up / drop-off points and schedule.) 5 Taxi Service Meru Cabs and Easy Cabs are the two official taxi operators at the Bengaluru International. They provide convenient, safe, easily accessible and cost effective travel in a standard air conditioned Sedan to passengers. taxi service can be availed at the airport for travel to Bengaluru city and vice versa. Advantages: >> The cabs are GPRS/GPS enabled, and journeys are tracked >> Cabs to any destination take a pre-defined route, assuring the passenger that he would not be charged extra >> The passengers will be given a printed electronic receipt at the end of the journey >> Passenger will be charged only for the distance travelled >> At any point of time, if a passenger has any complaint regarding the fare or any other issue, he/she can contact the respective call centre number >> The exact route taken by the cab is stored for a week >> The comfort of air conditioned travel >> Sedan for convenience and ease of storing luggage >> English-speaking drivers Hiring a Taxi at Bengaluru >> Passenger may approach the Taxi bay >> Cars will be lined-up near the counter, for easy access >> Payment for the services can be made by cash or credit card (each car is equipped with a credit card machine) >> Payment for the services should be made at the end of the journey against a printed electronic receipt, which is based on the time and distance travelled >> Passengers may fill in a feedback form about the service in the payment receipt, which will be returned to the airport counter by the driver 8 9
6 Booking a taxi via phone >> This facility is only available from the city to the airport >> All bookings are controlled from one central reservation centre, which is easily accessible by the all India call centre numbers (Easy Cabs) and (Meru Cabs) >> Details of the booking will be Rates for Taxi Service Rs /- per kilometre, plus waiting Rs 60/- per hour All India Call Centre Numbers stored in the system. Thus, if the passenger has used the service previously, the pre-stored personal details will enable a quick response >> Car allocation would be done by the IVS directly >> Payment may be made at the time of using the service and this may be in the form of cash or credit card. (All cars are equipped with credit card machines.) Electronic meters will generate a printed electronic receipt for each journey. >> A system of online pre-payment will also be made available shortly. Limousine and Car Rental Apart from the airport taxi service, passengers can also rent premium cars. The service, which is provided by Hertz and Akbar Travels at Bengaluru ( ), has a full range of options from the Honda City to Mercedes Benz. Self-driven Cars Apart from the regular chauffeured cars, passengers can also avail self-driven cars at Bengaluru. A fleet of SUVs and premium segment cars will cater to this service. Limousine Service Passengers can also avail limousine service from a fleet of high-end luxury cars at Bengaluru. 7 Special Assistance At the Bengaluru, differently-abled passengers are specially taken care of. Vehicles with differently-abled passengers have access to the valet lane which is the closest access point to the terminal building on the curbside. Wheelchairs with attendants, if required, are available here. Please ask valet staff or a porter for assistance. Porter Service Porter service at the Bengaluru will provide courteous and efficient baggage transfer assistance to passengers. The service is available at all parking areas, drop-off zones and at the arrival baggage claim area. Porters may be hired across-the-counter or by contacting a parking agent.
