2 This user guide contains the information you need to understand and use the application properly. It is an advantage to have knowledge of the standard features in NAV. The TA Time & Attendance module Basic version can be used as stand-alone and/or together with the NAVEKSA SHOPFLOOR solution. The NAVEKSA TA Basic module is a very simple solution for the registration and calculation of employee (paid) attendance time including various absence registrations (paid/un-paid). The TA system works as stand-alone and/or together with the NAVEKSA SHOPFLOOR system. If used with the SHOPFLOOR system the functionality is extended with various production orders related functions. It is NOT a payroll system but it provides the necessary data to be sent to a payroll service bureau. The NAVEKSA TA Basic module is delivered as part of the SHOPFLOOR solution, and it is separately priced. Normally, time attendance registration will be operated from a screen in the Shop Floor client. As such it can be run on the NAV limited user concept. But it can also be operated within standard NAV as stand-alone or together with the SHOPFLOOR client. NAVEKSA All rights reserved Page 2 of 9

4 The Synchronize button Synchronizes the TA setup with standard NAV Employee Data Each employee is assigned to a calendar and a work shift as defined in the NAV Manufacturing module. Please remark that an Employee can be a NAV resource. Production Calendar / Working day definitions The employees are assigned to production calendars which are the basis for the time calculation. 5 The start and end times for breaks, which the employees pay themselves, has to be created. Remember to fly pin mark when a new day begins. Absence Codes Absence codes have to be created for the registration of absence and can be letters or numbers. Numbers that can be printed as barcode tickets to be read. If attendance entries are to be exported to an external payroll system, you can specify an external wage code for each absence code. If no code is specified, the internal default code in the file will be used. The same external code can be used on multiple absence codes. Registration of Time Attendance The Employee Number is to be entered, read or selected. NAVEKSA All rights reserved Page 5 of 9

6 If the employee arrives late or leaves too early, he has to indicate a reason (absence code), before the stamping is accepted. The function button Show items shows the respective employees stampings for a number of days, which is managed in the setup, - Number of days in the overview. An example of time stampings Correcting stampings In case of error-stamping (such as no stamping out) this can be corrected from the SHOPFLOOR attendance entries. Entries can be marked with a posting date, when output is read out to e.g. a payroll system. These entries are made only with the subsequent print / output if specifically marked. 7 Stampings and correcting stampings For each stamping, time attendance entries are created. Using the Edit list function entries can be changed. Time Calculation and Print / Output Calculation of time, time accounting/posting, printing and output to file happens when you press Print or Show Print, / Time attendance list. 8 Entries can be printed with any definition, but usually you will only delimit in regards to (start) date. Already printed items are not included, unless it is selected as a parameter: The other options relate to output to an external system: Posting date Mark as not read Include posted entries File type Kind of wage for flex-plus Filename Is written in the file and stamped on the postings. Entries are accumulated per each employee on this date. The date is stamped on the entries, that means it is possible to test read without entries being marked as not being read out Select this if the entries have to be out put again, are have to be reprinted Lessor and is handled as standard, others can be programmed A payroll wage code for flex-time Location and filename Entries that are not marked by the absence code that means business hours, are beingread out with a code, set as configuration parameter.
