1 The law firm of Harter Secrest & Emery LLP proudly announces a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Essay Contest Harter Secrest & Emery LLP is committed to encouraging our youth to reach for the stars and live the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. To commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year, the Firm s Diversity Committee is overseeing Harter Secrest & Emery s sponsorship of an essay contest. THE TOPIC OF THE ESSAY CONTEST IS: How does Dr. King, or someone you know, inspire you to live according to Dr. King s Dream? Dr. King s Dream a community of people who accept and value differences, acknowledge and fight racism, and appreciate non-violence and equality. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? The essay contest is open to all 3 rd, 4 th, and 5 th graders enrolled in the Rochester City School District. WHEN IS THE ESSAY DUE? Essays must be returned to HSE in the envelope provided and postmarked no later than Monday, December 10, WHAT WILL THE AUTHORS AND SCHOOLS OF THE WINNING ESSAYS RECEIVE? A winner will be chosen in each grade level. Winning authors will receive $200 for their classroom, a $75 pizza party gift card for their classroom, a special personal prize, and a $50 personal gift card. HOW DO I ENTER?
