2 Architectural History Architectural Model 1959 Circa 1962 Circa 2014 Completed in 1962 as a 102-unit residential cooperative. Designed by William J. Conklin and James S. Rossant of the architectural firm of Mayer, Whittlesey & Glass.
3 Goals and Proposal Request Original on West 12 th Street Proposed Bay Window in Center With Originals Above and Below Goals Develop a Master Plan governing window replacement at both buildings. Improve energy efficiency with new windows that have insulated glazing units and that are thermally broken. Retain original sight lines and configuration replicating the character-defining features of the windows and original paint color. Proposal Request Modify the operation from awning/hopper to awning only to retain the aesthetic appearance of the original sight lines.

11 Pilot Project: West 13 th Street Building In 2012, the Board initiated a pilot window replacement project in a penthouse apartment since it was outside of the district and not visible from the street.
