11 The Center for International Intelligent Transportation Research TTI El Paso The CIITR was established through the 79th state legislature in September 2005 to conduct research in three areas: border crossings, traffic management and air quality MISSION Conduct innovative research, develop technological solutions, and develop policies that will enhance: Mobility in the El Paso region The efficient, safe and secure movement of people and goods across the US/Mexico border Facilitate implementation of research results and technology transfer Collaborate with local, regional, and state agencies and universities
