Cook Library, Towson University, 8000 York Rd., Towson, MD LIBRARIANSHIP Information Technology Librarian (Librarian II) January present Primary Responsibilities Provide technology leadership for the Library s initiatives and operations. Plan, supervise, and participate in the work of the Library s IT & Media Services department, including development of the Library s web presence, management of the Library s lab and classroom computing environments, oversight of media collections and services, and technical support and leadership for the Library s online discovery services. Serve the information needs of the students, faculty, and staff at Towson University through library instruction, reference services, and collection development, specifically as liaison to Computer Science. Key Achievements Led the selection and implementation of a content management system for the Library's website. Led the selection and implementation of EBSCO Discovery Services (EDS), including integration with the Library's web presence. Led the reorganization of Library IT & Media Services, including revision of position descriptions, streamlining of workflows, and consolidation of services portfolio. Enhanced the Library's mobile web presence through the implementation of new features and functionality, including integration with EDS. Led development of flexible learning space designed to encourage innovative pedagogical practices. Collaborated with University's Office of Technology Services to review and revise support workflows for library public, employee, and classroom computing. Integrated the teaching of discovery service solutions into instruction sessions. Emerging Technologies Librarian (Librarian I) June January 2012 Primary Responsibilities Participate in the advancement of the Library s technology initiatives, including the Library s web presence, online learning modules, and internal communication technologies. Serve the information needs of the students, faculty, and staff at Towson University through library instruction, reference services, and collection development, specifically as liaison to Computer Science, Mathematics, and Integrated Homeland Security Management programs.

Implemented and maintained SharePoint site to facilitate communication with the Research & Instruction Department. Led the development and enhancement of the Library's mobile website. Collaborated on the implementation and administration of the Library's virtual reference services. Led the development and administration of the Library's social media presence. Implemented, maintained, and enhanced WorldCat Local, including integration with the Library's web presence. Developed a tool for tracking reference transactions electronically. Participated in the staffing of the Library's in-person and virtual reference services. Developed learning objects, assignments, and activities to support course-integrated library instruction.
