The project is being carried out through the use of a variety of methodologies under the service design umbrella, a holistic, co-creative, and user-centered approach to understanding customer behavior for the creation or refining of services. Service design was used for this project due to the scope and the need for flexibility when assessing space usage as well as service delivery. This project is current and ongoing. EXPERIENCE Instructor Library Juice Academy 9/ Present Taught: Service Design: Towards a Holistic Assessment of Library Services (9/7-10/2/2015) Taught: Service Design: Towards a Holistic Assessment of Library Services (4/4-4/29/2016) Link: In this 4-week course, students will explore the service design methodology as a relevant method for service assessment and creation in a library environment. They will discuss the various tools libraries and librarians can use to implement a service design approach to assessment. Students from all types of libraries will learn from presentations, articles, hands-on exercises, discussions, and visual examples.
