2 Corporate social responsibility is important to J:COM as a community service provider, and as a broadcasting company. CLEAN UP OUR TOWN is a nationwide cleanup activity conducted every year with members of local communities as part of Nicology efforts. In its seventh run in 2014, the cleanup was conducted at 76 locations nationwide. Nicology activity to create natural shades with vine plants such as bitter melon and morning glories to help energy and power saving during summer. The activity has continued with local community members since IKI-IKI Project (Full of Life Project) has been conducted by the local J:COM systems since The core of this project is formed by our customers who have registered themselves as community leaders. Many of them have put their various skills and know-how to use by hosting computer lessons and cooking lessons classes in buildings of local J:COM systems. Various other activities are being conducted in different areas. This project supports local residents who want to participate in community activities. J:COM engages in CSR activities with customers in the community under the nickname Nicology (smile + ecology). J:COM s first concept shop opened inside the Tokyo Skytree Town in The attractiveness of multi-channels and latest TV services are promoted through various events and attractions fully utilizing the four 103-inch screens. We also have ZAQ STORE, a specialty store for ZAQ merchandise.
