4 George and Cynthia Mitchell Basic Sciences Research Building The George and Cynthia Mitchell Basic Sciences Research Building (Mitchell BSRB) is the new home for The UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston. 6 School of Nursing and Student Community Center The School of Nursing and Student Community Center (SONSCC) Building is home to our nationally ranked Nursing School and is the only "green" building in the Texas Medical Center. SONSCC won the Citation of Honor from the American Institute of Architects-Houston for its environmentally responsible features. Since 1996, the UT School of Nursing has doubled its undergraduate enrollment and now graduates more than 120 new nurses and more than 110 nurses with graduate degrees each year. More than 700 students are currently enrolled in the school, instructed by almost 100 full- and part-time faculty members. 7 University Center Tower The University Center Tower was built in 1975 and commands a highly visible position close to the Texas Medical Center. The twenty-five stories of the facility house a variety of University academic and administrative functions while also providing lease space to a variety of tenants.
