1 School of business AND entrepreneurship Building the Future of Business
2 dramatic growth Dr. James D. Evans President of Lindenwood University Lindenwood University has experienced dramatic enrollment growth over the past two decades from 3,500 students in 1989 to just over 15,000 currently. However, the institution s growth isn t measured just in student population; it is evident in Lindenwood s reach across the St. Louis region with 11 vibrant campus locations; it can be seen in an endowment that has climbed from $500,000 to more than $80 million; and it is undeniable in the job market, where 2,700 graduates annually become valuable employees in St. Louis, throughout the state, and all around the country. Lindenwood s teaching-focused faculty is among the best in their respective fields. The University s growing alumni base is spread across the United States, and more than 17,000 live and work in the St. Louis region. Lindenwood, has come to stand for growth, value, and reinvestment in the St. Louis region. 2

4 excellent leadership School of Business and Entrepreneurship Leadership The Lindenwood School of Business and Entrepreneurship has experienced phenomenal growth over the past several years and continues to grow at a steady pace both in its undergraduate and graduate programs. In order to support this growth, the SB&E has substantially increased the number of doctorally qualified faculty members, moved to a new facility, and has attained specialized accreditation. Continuous improvement in all facets of its operations has contributed to a stellar reputation for providing an excellent business education at an affordable price. Key partnerships with area businesses and business leaders many of whom are Lindenwood alumni have contributed to the SB&E s success and growth. The SB&E is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. ACBSP standards are modeled on the Baldrige National Quality Program. Employers find value in knowing that a potential employee graduated from a school that uses the same standards used by businesses to recognize excellence. Students who graduate from an ACBSP accredited school will be better prepared to compete for the jobs today s leading employers provide. SB&E future initiatives will serve to continuously improve the value of a Lindenwood SB&E business degree and strengthen key relationships with area businesses in order to produce highly-skilled business graduates who are able to contribute immediately as they step into the business world and become prepared for long-term success in the fast-paced, global marketplace. Dean Edward Morris 4
