New Sanid volunteer training records achieved while training four large groups in Fujairah and Khorfakkan : Takatof villa, Abu Dhabi Sanid Level 3 Leadership training Module 2 Command Post and Staging Area exercise 10

11 to : NCEMA, Abu Dhabi Special meetings at NCEMA for volunteers with H.E. Khalfan al Rumaithi meeting Sanid volunteers, with among others Mohammed al Jenaibi and Ahmed al Ketbi briefing the volunteers about NCEMA and the National Operations Center. Numerous visits during the period for different groups of volunteers. 11

12 : Takatof villa, Abu Dhabi Sanid Level 3 Leadership specialization session: Sanid National Structure and Team Management (session 1 of 4) for selected senior volunteer leaders nationally. Training based on concepts from the Swedish Civil Defence League. First Sanid level 3 training session. 12

13 to : Salama bint Butti school, Bani Yas Level 2 training for staff that were trained as emergency response volunteers in : ADNEC, Abu Dhabi Sanid Event Response during the Takatof Recognition Ceremony Sanid volunteers provided crowd control and other functions during Takatof where H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan recognized Takatof volunteers including Sanid for their volunteering efforts and engagement for the community. Sanid trainers and senior volunteers were amongst the recognized functionaries. 13

14 to : Sir Bu Nua yr Island, Dubai Three-day Sanid Event Response at Sir Bu Nua yr island with Sanid volunteers allocated for 3 days on the island reinforcing professional units as emergency responders and with crowd control during the Al Gaffar Race. Pictures include site inspection to the island with transport by helicopter before the event by staff and volunteers. Transport of full team to/from island by boat. A Sanid booth presenting the Sanid programme was also made available to the public. 14

15 to : Security Exhibition, Khalifa A External exhibition Sanid volunteers with a Sanid booth presented the programme and provided safety information, and conducted dramatic surprise first aid response simulations/ demonstrations with much interest from the visitors. Volunteers also visited the NCEMA booth. 15

16 : Sharjah Academic City, Sharjah Major Sanid response exercise for northern emirates volunteers (earthquake disaster scenario) involving dozens of responding vehicles from the professional services. Sanid National Office staff on site and response coordination simulation from the Sanid national level included in the exercise to : Ghayathi, Western Region Final exercise concluding level 1 training for Western Region Municipality staff in Ghayathi, Western Region. Concludes the expansion to the Western Region and 6 cities with Western Region Municipality; together with the previously trained Ruwais section (trained with Takreer in ) these now form the Sanid Western Region team. 16

18 : Al Ain Municipality, Al Ain Major disaster response exercise with Al Ain Police, including units from Civil Defence and ambulance services. Earthquake scenario; Sanid volunteers involved in major response support in a disaster simulation in close cooperation with the services. Sanid National Office staff on site and national level response simulation coordination included in exercise. 18

26 : Sharjah Scientific Museum, Sharjah Participation in the International Health Day by volunteers from Dubai, Sharjah and other northern emirates in Sharjah Scientific Museum, showcasing Sanid and providing emergency response information to the public to : Madinat Zayed, Western Region Level 1 training and advanced exercise for Western Region Municipality staff in Madinat Zayed. 26

The Sanid team on site responded to an actual medical emergency (epilepsy attack) during the event : Mafraq Sanid Multi-Vehicle Accident Major Traffic Disaster simulation (exercise after sunset, conducted in the dark for primarily Southern Region team volunteers), observed by a senior volunteer leader from one of Stockholm s Voluntary Resource Groups (Swedish Civil Defence League). 33
