The Allied Health Professionals work into two broad categories: technicians (assistants) and therapists/technologists. Technicians are trained to perform procedures and work under the supervision of technologists or therapists. This category includes physical therapy assistants, medical lab technicians, radiological technicians, occupational therapy assistants, recreation therapy assistants, and respiratory therapy technicians. The therapists or technologists go through more intensive education process than the technicians which includes acquiring procedural skills. Medical Radiography and Imaging is the health profession concerned with the direct administration of radiation, primarily x-rays, in disease diagnosis and injury assessment. 13 MASTER OF PHYSIOTHERAPY NEUROLOGY Duration: 3 Years Neurological physiotherapy is a discipline concerned with disorders of the nervous system; neurological physiotherapists assess the impact of neurological conditions (like Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis) and neurological trauma (such as head or spinal injuries, strokes, or brain surgery) on patients' normal bodily functions and movements.
