6 Objectives Contribute to the DQ strategy Monitor and improve the Data Quality within the GS1 Belgilux systems for data exchange (trustbox and GDSN), so the data recipients have access to a complete data set which they can trust. Physically Audit the data uploaded by suppliers. Report about the evolution of the Data Quality 6

8 Reporting DQ Team (2) Since set-up of DQ team 12% data increase 1659 contacts with DQ helpdesk since January 2015 Every company with score below 90% is contacted and followed-up 8
9 B2C Audit by GS1 Belgilux - Process Step 1 : Select (products of) companies in trustbox (10% of total assortment in trustbox) Step 2 : Search for the products in the supermarket and take pictures of the physical package. Step 3 : Enter the information from the physical package in the audit template. Step 4: Enter data in Data Checker and compare with supplier s data 9
10 B2C Audit by GS1 Belgilux - Process Step 1 : Select (products of) companies in trustbox. Selection criteria: - 10% of validated products per company - traceability of the products 10

26 Will the current approach be sufficient? 26
27 Starting point of the current strategy Companies are trained and monitored, but the pre-requisite is that they are able to deliver high quality and complete data. Are companies able to do this by themselves? 27
28 Learnings Based on what we learned from other MOs: training, a proactive check-up and physicals audits based on samples might not be enough to always guarantee a minimum quality of product data. The only way GS1 can guarantee a minium data quality is if every single new product is physically inspected (on B2B and label information). The existing products will follow the current approach (Continuous Monitoring + Audits based on samples), but all new products will have to go through a physical check. Both activities foreseen by GS1 are thus complementary. This is what is requested by GS1 GO to be compliant with the DQ strategy 28
