1 Newsletter for runners of good will 2/2015 Committee of Good Will - The Olga Havel Foundation Dear runners of the Committee of Good Will Olga Havel Foundation, Thank you for joining us in our effort to help and support handicapped people. Today, I would specially like to point out to volunteers who effectively help within the program called Sport for Charity. Among others, I would like to mention Mrs. Lenka Benesova. She is a willing, self-sacrificing sportswoman who is dedicated entirely to our cause. She is the one who communicate with all the runners. Many thanks, indeed. Yours, Milena Cerna, Director of the Committee of Good Will Olga Havel Foundation Volkswagen Prague Marathon 2015 This year, the 21 st season of the race will take place runners already signed up for the event. 110 runners (30 individual and 20 relay teams) will run for the Olga Havel Foundation. Traditionally, companies as ČSOB PB, p3parks, AIR PRODUCTS, JLL, mbank, Boscolo Hotels, ROCHE, Rödl & Partners, Jaroslav Špiroch & spol will join us. Apart from the Czech runners, athletes from Israel, Italy, Mexico, Finland, Ireland, Slovakia and Japan will join us, too. Moreover, workers from ČSOB will take part in the race and for every passed kilometer, the company contribute CZK 50 to the donation. 2 The Map of the Race Link to download the map: Starting Packages will be handed to you at the SPORT EXPO Fair The fair will take place at Vystaviste Praha, Holesovice Thursday (30 th April): Friday (1 st May): Saturday (2 nd May): 12 a.m. 8 p.m. 10 a.m. 8 p.m. 10 a.m. 8 p.m. Free entry Starting packages will be handed to you either personally against your paper containing your starting number (a.k.a. confirmation ) or against a power of attorney (individual starting numbers can be collected by attorney with verified letter of attorney, starting numbers for colleagues from relay can be collected by a person with the so-called company s power of attorney with a stamp and a signature of an authorized agent). 3 Looking back at the Prague Half Marathon Participation of the runners of the good will in Sportisimo ½ Marathon brought not only CZK to help physically disabled people, but also extraordinary sport results. Relay Concur Team to Beat ended up 5 th place Relay VDV ended up 280 th place Individual runner Jan Duk ended up 79 th place (how incredible!) Runners CSOB for the Good Cause: Mr. Bures ended up 51 st and Mr. Kusnir 77 th place Congratulations! Total number of 83 people ran for CSOB (15 individual runners, 10 relay teams and 7 teams). They managed to run kilometers combined. Therefore, CSOB contributed CZK to the public donation announced by Olga Havel Foundation (CZK 50 per kilometer). What are we up to?
